And it applies in I2B marketing too (individual-to-business marketing) aka job hunting and interviewing 🤠 We shy job seekers may feel we are in the hot seat with the focus on us during the interview, but to OWN the interview it’s about keeping the focus not on yourself alone (ie the “product” in this diagram) but what the company + you, will be able to get done, if they hire you. ✨by up-leveling from using the well-known “star” method, to the #bardettemethod when answering competency questions✨ B (describe the “brief” aka the situation) A (describe the action you took) R (describe the results) D on’t E nd T ell the “moral” of the story (that is, HOW what you’ve shared about yourself, will make an impact in the role you’re applying for and benefit the company and that’s why hiring you would be the right decision) T hen E nd (as in, your answer to the question) (PS You could throw in a special X factor element to the story/response but I go into that in my online 10-step coaching program 😉) This will put you in the driver seat of the interview and keep your focus on the proposed future together, instead of just yourself. The secret to confidence not cockiness 👌 Lawyers use this method when making forceful but respectful arguments to judges and juries. I’m here to coach you through it if you’d like extra support! 🙋🏻♀️

As someone who’s into cars, the first thing I look for in a brand’s advert is… well, the cars! But Jaguar, where are they? 🫢🚗 That said, from a marketing perspective, this move is bold in a good way. Jaguar’s #rebrand is causing a huge stir across LinkedIn and beyond, and that’s the goal, right? To get people talking. Their name is on everyone’s lips right now, which is amazing for brand awareness. ✅ By stepping away from the predictable car advert storyline, they’re standing out. Sure, I’d love to see a #Jaguar masterpiece gracing the screen, but the choice not to show the car is different and a major talking point. Sometimes, it's not always about showcasing the product; but more about capturing attention and Jaguar has done that👏 What do you think though - love it or hate it? 👀 #Cars #Campaign #Branding #Marketing
