Ohio Northern University offers the best value of any college in the Midwest, according to new rankings from U.S. News & World Report. In the publication’s 2025 Best Regional Colleges Midwest list, ONU is ranked #1 in Best Value Schools, moving up two places from 2024. In the overall rankings, the University is #2 in the Midwest and #1 in Ohio. UNC Charlotte receives highest U.S. News rankings in history! Driven by remarkable student and research success, University of North Carolina at Charlotte has achieved significant recognition in the newly released 2025 Best Colleges rankings. The University climbed to No. 81 among U.S. public universities—an impressive 15-spot improvement—and reached its highest national ranking at No. 152 among 434 institutions. Since 2020, Charlotte has surged 76 spots, making it the fastest-rising national university in the Carolinas! Chancellor Sharon L. Gaber stated, “With record enrollment, graduation, retention rates, and research expenditures, there’s unstoppable momentum at Charlotte.” UNC Charlotte is also ranked No. 45 among U.S. News’ Most Innovative Schools and No. 62 (tie) for social mobility. URI is the No. 1 public university in New England according to the Wall Street Journal in its 2025 Best Colleges in the U.S. rankings! The WSJ/College Pulse ranking rates the top 500 universities in the U.S., focusing on how well colleges prepare students for career and financial success, as well as overall student satisfaction. “This ranking reflects our values, so it is not surprising to me that we are one of the highest ranked public flagship universities,” URI President Marc Parlange said. “We are committed to providing broad access to a high-quality academic experience and to ensuring that students have the support and resources they need to succeed." UC San Diego Named Nation’s 6th Best Public University by U.S. News & World Report UC San Diego has once again been named the sixth best public university in the country, according to the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings released today. Overall, UC San Diego ranked No. 29 on the complete list of over 400 of the nation’s colleges.

Jackson State University leads HBCUs in student-athlete graduation success, boasting an impressive 87% graduation rate, the highest among HBCUs according to the NCAA Graduation Success Rate Report. Four teams achieved perfect scores, and several others surpassed 90%, highlighting the university’s academic dedication.
