Four years ago today, 1st of July, in the midst of a global pandemic, I took a leap of faith and joined Wildix. This is the longest I’ve ever stayed with a company, and there’s a good reason for that. In the chaos of the pandemic, joining a new company felt like a huge risk. But Wildix was different. From day one, the energy, vision, and drive were palpable. Despite the uncertainties, we pushed through and achieved incredible milestones together. My top three memorable moments have been: 1. Seeing Wildix enter the Gartner Magic Quadrant for UCaaS. It was a testament to our resilience and innovation. 2. Having a speech at Harvard Business School that made my parents really proud of me :) 3. Year after year, we’ve shattered revenue records, driven by our unwavering commitment, passion and our trusted partners. When I first joined Wildix, I had never been a manager, never worked in the UCaaS industry, and had rarely dealt with MSPs. Fast forward to today, I’ve transitioned from hands-on roles to establishing robust processes and creating a revenue machine. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been incredibly rewarding, especially working on disruptive solutions like x-hoppers with such a talented team. What truly makes Wildix special is our culture. The level of flexibility, trust, and mutual support here is unparalleled. Everyone pushes each other to achieve more, to take risks, and to work towards our common goals. It’s this collaborative spirit that makes Wildix not just a workplace, but a community. I owe a great deal of my journey to Steve Osler, our CEO. Steve, thank you for taking a chance on me four years ago. Your entrepreneurial spirit and your your out-of-the-box thinking continues to inspire me every day. This isn’t a post to ‘brag,’ (ok maybe little) but reflecting today, I am so proud of the team at Nexa, I could actually burst! So, I just want to take a moment to show real appreciation for the amazing team I get to work with every day. I am incredibly proud of what’s being achieved…and honestly, it’s all thanks to them. Starting a business is tough… starting one during the ‘summer period’ in a challenging market...even tougher (who knew the timing could be a little tricky 🙄 ). Taking into account we have had restrictions with the move (of course), and there are always hurdles in ‘sales,’ but the way this team has thrived through it all has been nothing short of inspiring. I’m beaming with pride over here today! They have all shown resilience, dedication, and I think we have all learnt a valuable lesson…never to be complacent. We never set out to be the biggest, but what we are setting out to do is be a team that is genuinely proud of what we do and I can confidently say we are doing just that. In this short time (and it has flown by), every single client we have worked with has moved to interviews, and now we are either placing or moving forward positively (might be small to some but huge for us and all new!). It has strengthened our relationships and stuck firmly to our core value: quality over everything! So yes, this post might be a little cheesy 🧀, but who cares...I am going to shout it!! I want to say a massive thank you to the team.
