The best salespeople see themselves as business people that happen to know how to sell. They have a fascination for business. They practically romanticize business. As a result, their business acumen is rock solid. And that shows up in their discovery conversations in a way that sometimes, you just cannot teach. P.S. We just opened the 12 Days of Christmas pclub.io holiday finale sale - buy 3 months, save 50% off: https://lnkd.in/g4era38A

Great reminder that understanding the subject matter is critical to providing genuine solutions and value to our clients. What are a few books you recommend for improving business finance acumen? Asking as a SaaS seller typically selling to finance & accounting teams.

It's a reminder that sharpening business acumen is just as important as refining sales techniques.

Romanticize, that's probably a bit strong for most. But otherwise, yeah, this is 100% true.

Chris Orlob I completely agree. And it's the reason I believe great salespeople can sell virtually any product. It's not about deep SME in any vertical or with any one product. It's a love of learning and solving business challenges and applying their current product to a new market.
