Product manager opening with JP Morgan just freshly posted. Why aren’t you getting more product manager interviews? There’s a pattern here folks of the types of roles hiring managers are positing for. I have been posting product manager roles nonstop and figured out one of the reasons you are not getting interviews is that your resume may not (MAY NOT) be tailored for the role, because you “think” you don’t have direct experience. These are the most commonly posted product manager roles and also the industries that are thriving. Product Manager opening at Mimecast! Tuesdays are always a good day to start following up with hiring for product manager interviews since Monday is generally a mess. People come back from the weekend not remembering what they did, what they need to work on, or what the team needs to work towards and immediately hiring managers are thrown into Zoom meeting after Zoom meeting after Zoom meeting. This is why I tell most product manager job hunters in my program to follow up with the product manager job posts from Friday afternoon and Saturday morning on Tuesday afternoons. Here is the thing y’all need to understand. The product manager job hunter currently is mad savage. Heads and Directors of product alike get 70+ DMs within the first 20 minutes of the job post going live and you know who ends up grabbing those interviews? The people that follow up with them 2 days later, 3 days later, and 4 days later. When I was working at a tech recruiting agency, my mentor told me that most of the business was done on the 7th to 12 follow up, and these days that seems to be true for securing product manager interviews too. Except you don’t need to follow up with the hiring manager 7 times just, 3 to 4 times will do if you are using value-driven LinkedIn Messages like the ones I have for you in Skool. https://lnkd.in/gCsMZ-Ab Steal my LinkedIn Message templates in Skool: https://lnkd.in/gCsMZ-Ab PS For the love of god do not buy into the myth that companies are not hiring during the holiday season. Hiring budgets must be used by the end of the year and the teams that don’t use their hiring budget LOSE THEIR HIRING BUDGET. Product Gym was born on 11/7/17 and I remember very clearly one of our originals secured 51+ interviews between Cyber Monday and Christmas Eve. She applied and that’s why she ended up getting interviews. Everybody else kept telling themselves the market was bad, so they didn’t apply, and that’s why they didn’t get interviews. #productmanagement #productmanagementjobs #productmanagementcareers #productmanagementtransition #productgym #speedtolead

JP Morgan product manager opening posted 4 hours ago. It’s Friday people and that only means one thing. Friday is when positions are posted up the most, but nobody is applying even though this is the best time. Hiring managers procrastinate just like you and there is no other time product managers roles are posted on LinkedIn more that Friday night and a little bit Saturday morning. These are the most commonly posted product manager roles and also the industries that are thriving. Daniel Dryden from T-Mobile is looking for a Product Manager! There is simply too much friction reading a resume right now, so the best way for you to land interviews is by direct message on LinkedIn BUT LET ME BE CRYSTAL CLEAR. You still have to mass apply, because when companies ask you if you have applied yet in the portal and you say no then you have to start from scratch. It’s a lot of work I know and it sucks, but you got to do it. In 2025 mark my words at the rate AI is moving you will all by interviewing with holograms. I am not joking at all. There will be AI recruiting software that will sort, sift, screen (oh yes interview you), and schedule the second round interview. This is why I am telling everybody to land this job as soon as possible and to start a brand (more on that later), but for now you need to deliver a more impactful message to pitch your resume. Well… Rich what the heck am I supposed to say? That’s a fair question and I got you covered right here. I have a list of 33 openers you can use in Skool. See you in Skool! https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH Don’t be late to Skool! https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH PS Please RESHARE this post for all your colleagues still looking for a job. #productmanagement #productmanagementcareers #productmanagementjobs #speedtolead

As an experienced Search Product Manager, I understand the importance of roadmaps, KPIs, and monitoring searcher behaviors in various search use cases. (#eCommerceSearch, #ProductSearch, #SiteSearch or #EnterpriseSearch & more). Prioritizing epics for #Search #Engineering teams involves considering business challenges (such as migration to a new search technology or merging or spinning off business divisions or products). I've compiled essential tasks for Search PM success in a slide deck titled "Search Relevance Roadmap KPIs Searcher Behaviors." Check out the link in the first comment for valuable insights!

Here's how Linear builds quality products: 1. Engineers and designers are empowered to make product decisions Relying only on PMs for product decisions is an anti-pattern. Instead, Linear hires the best and Nan (Linear's head of product) supports them by defining the problem clearly and sharing feedback along the way. 2. There are no durable product teams Instead, Linear puts temporary teams together to tackle a customer problem. At the company's current scale, this helps to avoid shipping the org chart. 3. Goals and OKRs only exist at the highest level Many companies introduce OKRs at the team and individual level too early. If you give two teams separate OKRs, they’ll likely go in two directions without care for the overall user experience. 4. Marketing is a product pillar Linear has a "magic team" that builds best-in-class landing pages that communicate why customers should care about a new feature. They put as much care into the marketing as the product. 📌 Learn more about Linear here: https://lnkd.in/gYpaSDd7 P.S. They're hiring a PM!
