Sales conversion Rates! The bane of every Sales Director's existence, right? I know it was for me. When I started selling consultancy services, I convinced myself I wasn't cut out to be a salesman. I'd watch my performance fluctuate wildly from month to month. One minute I'd be celebrating hitting targets, the next I'd struggle to explain why I'd fallen short. I was on a rollercoaster. I desperately wanted to get off - I hated sales! Sat at my desk late one night, poring over sales trackers ( I didn't have a CRM), trying to make sense of my inconsistent results … and then … the light bulb moment! I didn't have a system. I was relying on charm and luck more than any real strategy. This realisation set me on a mission - to be great at sales. I had already immersed myself in Neuro-Linguistic Programming Certification training and realised, here was the missing piece - sales psychology. I studied the art of building the know, like and trust everyone speaks of and yet, no one teaches you how. Slowly but surely, I pieced together a comprehensive sales process that would transform my approach to selling consultancy services. The result? A 6-phase sales system that not only boosted my conversion rates that also made them predictable and consistent. No more wild swings of the bat or nail-biting end-of-month scrambles. Here's what I learned along the way: 1. Far from being a "natural" salesperson, this is about having a proven sales system. 2. Building trust through genuine relationships is key, instead of pushing for the close and the sale. 3. Understanding the psychology behind buying decisions is a game-changer for anyone in sales. 4. A well-structured approach outperforms talent alone. 5. Consistency in action and process leads to consistency in results. Now, as a Certified Trainer of NLP, Certified Business Growth Coach and Professional Marketer, I help Sales Directors and Managers implement this same system in their organisations. The transformation is remarkable - from struggling with unpredictable results to consistently hitting and exceeding targets. If you're tired of the sales rollercoaster and ready for steady, predictable growth, I'd love to share more about the Wave Sales System. It's designed specifically for companies seeking to achieve that elusive 70% conversion rate and create a replicable sales process across your team. Want to learn more? Send me a direct message with "Wave Sales System". Let's turn your sales team into a conversion powerhouse and make unpredictable results a thing of the past. #sales #salespsychology #salesprocess

Today, I had a sales call from a performance marketing company. The sales executive seemed unprepared, stumbling through his introduction and failing to articulate how his company could benefit me. His communication lacked clarity and conviction, relying heavily on generic pitches filled with buzzwords. He didn't ask relevant questions or show an understanding of my business. Overall, the lack of preparation and poor communication left me unimpressed and doubtful of the company's abilities. Unfortunately, the sales executive fell short in all these areas, prompting me to share my experience and insights on the importance of 𝗣𝗿𝗲-𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗣𝗖𝗣) in sales. Sales is not a simple transaction. To outsiders, it might look like smooth pitches, firm handshakes, and the thrill of a signed deal. But for those of us in the trenches, it’s a relentless test of endurance, where the mental game plays a defining role in who succeeds and who struggles to stay afloat. In sales, resilience isn’t a trait you’re born with; it’s something you develop, piece by piece, through experience, self-discipline, and, more recently, online sales training. These online resources aren’t just repositories of scripts and closing techniques—they’re a lifeline for salespeople aiming to build mental toughness and stay at the top of their game, even when the stakes feel impossibly high. Imagine it’s Monday morning... You’ve prepared for a series of calls all weekend, rehearsed every angle, and you’re ready to tackle objections. But by the third call, you’re faced with a familiar line: “We’re not interested.” For many, hearing this response multiple times in a row can chip away at their confidence. A ‘no’ in sales is a reminder of the long journey to that prized ‘yes.’ Those who last in sales, however, don’t flinch; they see every rejection as a small step toward success, not a failure. But this resilience doesn’t happen overnight, and for a lot of sales professionals, online sales training becomes a foundation for building the mental fortitude needed to withstand these challenges. In my latest blog, I explore the mental game of sales and how important it is for new consultants to understand this. Check it out below 👇 https://lnkd.in/gGV--KKs

Sales Managers, My Weird Trick Boosted Sales by 42%. Here's What It Is (and Why It Works) "Sales Managers, the more you innovate, the more successful your team will be. Try my weird trick that boosted sales by 42%. Sacrifice the outdated methods. Sacrifice traditional sales pitches. Sacrifice sticking to the old routine. Sacrifice the fear of change. Way too many leaders are clinging to conventional approaches 🥱 It's far from effective. Boosting sales isn't about sacrificing your team's well-being. It's not a story. It's a strategy that too many ignore. Then pat themselves on the back for hitting targets. When in reality they're: - Trying to please outdated strategies because they fear change. - Treating their team like robots instead of individuals. - Constantly chasing the same tactics. - Stuck in a sales rut. - Drained AF. Then they boast about how much sacrifice and discomfort they can endure. The thing is, they're right about 1 thing: -> Sales IS uncomfortable. Yes, you'll need resilience. Yes, you'll need dedication. Yes, you'll need courage. But no, you do not need to sacrifice your team's morale and creativity. Without a motivated team, your sales are nothing. And there's nothing significantly brilliant about that. The best of the best know this. You can take the sacrifice route if you want. Or you can take the innovative route. So if you want sales success that doesn't drain your team, follow these steps:** 1. Get clear on cutting-edge strategies (this boosts morale) 2. Spend your time preaching that (your team becomes motivated) 3. Allow innovative opportunities to come to you (no clinging to the old) 4. Treat your team like individuals (not robots) 5. Don't stick to outdated methods. 6. Say no to strategies that hinder your team. 7. Encourage creativity daily. 8. Give credit where it's due. 9. Get 8 hours sleep. Here are some additional tips to supercharge your sales: - Leverage technology: Embrace tools and platforms that enhance your team's efficiency. - Continuous learning: Stay updated with the latest trends in sales to stay ahead of the game. - Foster a positive work environment: A happy team is a productive team. - Effective communication: Ensure clear and open communication channels within your team. - Customer-centric approach: Tailor your strategies to meet the evolving needs of your clients. Bonus Tips: - Set realistic goals: Break down targets into achievable milestones. - Celebrate victories: Recognize and celebrate both small and big wins. - Feedback loop: Establish a feedback system to learn from successes and failures. - Networking: Build strong relationships within your industry for potential collaborations. You want Innovative Sales Success, I have the formula. 🔪 People everywhere are looking for shortcuts to sales success. The truth is that shortcuts do exist. They’re just not completely effort-free or comfortable. When people hear ‘hacks’ or ‘shortcuts’, they think of cheat codes. Having now trained 1000’s salespeople, Helped 100’s of businesses and Facilitated more training sessions than I care to count. I have some cheat codes for sales performance. Regardless of the sales situation or the product or service being sold, some things remain fundamental. Here’s what I’ve learnt. 1️⃣ Inspiration (Not motivation) Don’t look for external motivation. Look internally for inspiration. Why do I do what I do? Why do I love doing what I do? What value does my client base get from my interactions? 2️⃣ Own a niche Find something you’re great at (or love) and dig into the details. Become the authority in that sector, preferably at the crossroads where you and your client interact. Only those clients with these problems should be targeted. Build all your messaging to attract these people. It often feels like a risk, but it’s actually the doorway to freedom. 3️⃣ Control the controllable Control your activity. Prepare answers to typical objections. Improve demo skills. Prepare scripts. Be world-class in each area. Equally, understand that there are things outside your influence and learn not to stress about those situations. 4️⃣ Only you can hold yourself accountable Report to yourself daily on the 3 key metrics fundamental to your success. EG: New conversations held, Current client interactions per day or Positive team interactions (for leaders) 5️⃣ When you’re green, you grow. When you’re ripe, you rot. Continually look for new ways to improve and disrupt yourself. What ‘new thing’ are you trying RIGHT now? A new script, a new social media platform, a new outreach play, a new marketing tool? Don’t stop growing. Once you think you’re ripe – you start rotting. ✳️ Stay Green.
