I care about Suicide Prevention and Challenging Mental Health Stigma. 🟣 Mental Health First Aid Trainer (Scotland & England) 🟢 ASIST Trainer 🟡 Facilitation and Groupwork 🔵 Learning Material Design

✨ As 2024 draws to a close, I’ve been reflecting on a year filled with impactful work and profound connections. This year, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and communities in a number of ways. 📍 A key milestone this year was delivering my first LivingWorks UK-EU Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) course in Helensburgh with Gary Macdonald and Eddie Martin. Equipping participants with the tools to recognise and intervene in moments of crisis is work I feel deeply passionate about. Suicide prevention isn’t just part of my career—it’s a cause that resonates with me on a personal level. I’m proud to help foster life-assisting skills and courageous conversations. The ASIST T4T itself was a journey I was so glad to go on with Davey Shields 🌍 I also delivered Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) training to hundreds of participants across Scotland—from bustling cities to remote communities. Two trips to Shetland were a highlight—not just because it’s where my journey in youth work began, but because these sessions showed how communities can come together to prioritise mental health. Jack Clubb & Martin Summers were perfect hosts and I’m honoured to return in May 2025 to continue this vital work. 📚 Delivering group work skills training and facilitating away days has been equally rewarding. Partnering with organisations like the School of GeoSciences , I’ve worked with new educators to explore what makes group learning environments truly effective. Whether in the classroom, the field, or unique “liminal” spaces I’ve seen how creative, collaborative approaches can transform group dynamics. I had incredible day of facilitation with Lynn Pilkington (She/Her) looking after our largest group yet! 🔗 Looking ahead to 2025: If you’re seeking an experienced trainer and facilitator who brings passion, expertise, and a personal connection to mental health and group dynamics, let’s connect. Together, we can make a meaningful difference. 💬 #Reflection #MentalHealthTraining #SuicidePrevention #Facilitation #GroupDynamics #2025Goals #MakingADifference Here’s what I offer: 🧠 Mental health training (SMHFA and ASIST): Building confidence and skills to address mental health challenges, intervene in crisis situations and prevent suicide. 🤝 Group work skills training: Helping teams and facilitators create engaging, productive environments for learning and growth. 🎯 Custom workshops and facilitation support: Tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of your organisation - away days, conversations, development days and more. #Reflection #SuicidePrevention #MentalHealthTraining #Facilitation #GroupWorkSkills #ASIST #SMHFA #LookingAheadTo2025
