Something that's as true when looking for a job as it is in marketing is that you can't do it alone. Even if you are a marketing team of one, successful marketing takes the support and collaboration of many people, from leadership to the back office to those on the front line. If you can find those people who believe in what you're doing and understand that marketing takes testing, refining, and adjusting to make progress, it makes the job so much easier. As I'm searching for my next career move, I'm also learning that going it alone doesn't work. I am so fortunate to have a supportive and encouraging wife and family, friends who are there to give me advice or listen to me when I need it, the most amazing group of people ready to help me make connections, and new friends who share their insights and guidance about companies that need what I can help them with. While this transition is slow and sometimes painful, it's helped me realize that I have a wonderful community there for me, and I look forward to the opportunity to be there for them, too. You're not alone. Find your community, and be grateful. Happy Thanksgiving!
