Go on and bend the grammar rules, my fellow marketing copywriters. And dare to break up a long sentence with … something other than a comma. Marketing isn’t academia, and your audience is unlikely to be your 8th grade English teacher (apologies, Ms. Brown). So I give you permission to forget formalities and punch up properly punctuated prose. But please, just don't mix up its versus it’s and use the wrong one. Its quite annoying. Keep it real and conversational out there, my friends. ✌ #copywriting #writing #marketing

I will start sentences with “and” until the day I can no longer write, and that’s a promise.

Yeah, people. Starting your sentence with 'And' is not wrong in the copy. Right, Chris 😉?

I appreciate this Chris. Flawless grammar feels way too pretentious sometimes... ESPECIALLY when I'm trying to build a genuine connection with my audience. Here's to writing with a ✨personality✨

I can't find the meme that expands this to whomst'd've, but this is how who vs whom makes me feel.

Em dashes seem to be my go-to. I truly ❤️ them for making a point. And why write if you aren't making some kind of point?
