Lately I have spoken to a few Dynamics 365 End Users who have had troubles with their implementation partner leading to mayor problems of the implementation and a substantial financial loss... so i thought I would list some things to consider while choosing a MS Partner and building your Team before embarking on a D365 Project! 👨🎓 Here are some potential downsides of working with a Microsoft partner during a D365 implementation: - 💵 Higher Costs: Microsoft partners often charge premium fees for their services, which can lead to higher implementation costs. - ☯ Limited (or too much) Customization: Some partners may push standard solutions, limiting the level of customization needed for specific business processes other may push for lots which are actually unnecessary. - 🔒 Over-Reliance on Partner Expertise: Clients may become overly dependent on the partner, making it harder to build internal expertise and meaning you are at the whim of the partner and not in control of your system. - 🛑 Potential Bias: Partners might prioritize Microsoft technologies over potentially better third-party solutions, which could limit flexibility. - 🌥 Varied Quality: The experience and capabilities of Microsoft partners can vary, leading to inconsistent project outcomes if the partner isn't highly experienced. Due to lots of shift of resources in the partner landscape the team might change during the project. Our advice is always to consider this before getting locked into any contracts and keep control of the project on your side and dont just rely on the MS Partner as you will live with the system not the MS Partner!
