How to track Contact Form 7 for GA4 Here is a short guide step by step to Track Contact Form 7 for GA4 Step 1: Add Listener Code ↳ Create a Custom HTML tag in GTM and add listener code( You can find the code in the comment section) ↳ Set the trigger to All Pages ↳Save the tag, and publish it Step 2: Create GA4 Event Tag ↳Event Name: cf7_Lead ↳ Add parameters like formId, name, or email (through Variable) ↳ Use the trigger created in Step 3. Step 3: Create Custom Event Trigger ↳Create a Custom Event trigger with the name contact_form_submit. ↳Save it. Miss having page speed in GA4? This is available in GA4, you just have to configure it in GTM. GA4 scrapped the "page load time" metric we used to have in UA 🫠 But it is possible to get it into GA4 👩🏽💻 You just have to use #GTM to set it up. Then, you'll be able to see your average page load time by page. And evaluate if slower pages have lower engagement rates/higher bounce rates. To set it up: go to GTM, create a custom javascript variable with the code in the comments 👇🏽 Trigger it with a custom event and then create the custom metric in GA4. I promise it sounds more difficult than it is in reality. This may be something we can do some training around if there's interest there for it.
