I drew my new LinkedIn profile picture! Being a multidisciplinary artist has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. I may not always be an artist; life may take me to finance or behavioral economics, but while I am an artist, I’ve enjoyed the freedom it’s gifted me. Art has taught me to express myself freely, no matter what that expression looks like. Art has taught me that if someone says something is art, then it is art (life doesn’t have to always be so complicated). Art has taught me to live by my own standards and not the standards of dead people (traditions) or alive people (everyone inserting their well meaning yet unasked for “opinions”). Art has taught me that who I am is the greatest gift I’ve been given. Art has changed the world time and time again and it will continue to. So don’t discount the power of art in your life! 🎨If you’d like to commission a drawing of yourself or a loved one, email me at [email protected]. Should Art Be Solely Positive? This question has been on my mind for many years. It seems that art is often expected to bring joy and inspiration, but what about pain and inner struggles that demand to be expressed? For a long time, I avoided showing complex emotions in my work. If there was something bright and uplifting, I shared it freely. But pain, fears, and doubts remained locked away, hidden from view. I didn’t allow myself to be truly open, to show all facets of my inner world. Today, I find myself asking a different question: isn’t authenticity the true power of art? Why should we, as creators, limit ourselves to only positive emotions? The world is multifaceted, and its shadows often conceal as much beauty and depth as its light. I believe it’s time to embrace diversity in my work. Art is a reflection of the human soul, with all its shades—from dazzling brightness to profound darkness. And it is through this honesty that something truly valuable can emerge. What do you think? Should art remain in the comfort zone, or must it strive to be truthful—even when it hurts? #sculpture #art #artwork

🌈ART IS BEAUTY🌈BEAUTY IS ART🌈 Art is the creation & contemplation of Beauty. Art is tempo.rare. A moment. The work of art may dis.appear, But the feeling, the e-motion remains. In our bodies. Am I someone (yet)? Although I have always been a dreamy boy, thanks to all the movies I’ve watched since I was a child, I think I have never seen myself as someone who will have a very bright future. In a few words, I just think my name, Juan Sánchez de Ocaña Ramírez, is not a very artistic one. Maybe that is a stupid reason, but I can’t change my mind about it. However, I think that I actually manipulate myself with that argument as an excuse. Art isn’t just a name. Art is experiences, and movies or books, and peaceful and beautiful lives. Art is what I write when I want to let people know I am someone despite my common name. Maybe not an important “someone”, maybe not a valuable one. But one that never stops thinking about how art has changed his world, and how he wants to change it in some way. An example of my work: https://lnkd.in/dKYGkp5m

With all due respect, the whole "𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬" argument has the vibes of "𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧'𝐭 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞." Machines can definitely run by any objective physical definition of running. I suspect the same for art. I wouldn't be surprised at all for us to be impressed by a piece of machine created art--if not already now, then surely down the road. Yet, machines can certainly be said to fail at the subjective human experience/process of running, or creating art. As my favorite "numbered jokes" joke below demonstrates, we the humans are supremely good at splitting hairs on the process even when the product is indistinguishable in quality.. Good for us! We the humanity can (and do) very legitimately exclude machines from Olympic track and field--and we will certainly do so for art (after all, we still do prize hand-made drawings and brush-made paintings in this day..).

ART AND CREATIVITY Art is all around us, and it's beautiful. But to truly appreciate it, we need to understand what it means. We see art every day, in the natural world, in music, in paintings, and in many other forms. Anything that inspires our minds, sparks our creativity, and makes us feel something is art. For something to be considered art, it needs three important things: 1. Skill: The person creating it needs to be good at what they do. 2. Imagination: They need to think of something new and original. 3. Creativity: They need to make something unique and special. When we see something beautiful, like birds flying in a triangle, we can draw it and make it art. We can also find art in music, poetry, acting, and many other forms. Art has the power to inspire us, make us think, and bring us joy. In our daily lives, we can find art in many places. We can see it in the way a sunset looks, in the sound of a river flowing, or in the smell of a delicious meal. We can even find art in our own thoughts and ideas. So, let's appreciate art and creativity in all its forms. Let's inspire each other to think differently, create something new, and make the world a more beautiful place. I believe that art can heal this world. I believe that through it, we become better and as a result, we think, feel and act in a more positive way. I believe that art is an invitation for us to leave behind our human conditioning and let our soul to rise, to be uplifted and to be nourished and inspired. Isn’t this what happens each time we read a good book, or when we see a beautiful painting or when watching a good movie? Art transforms us on every level each time we give our attention to it. As a further result & impact, once we become better, we are similar to the stars but in human form: Human stars spreading light, love, kindness everywhere we go, touching and uplifting everyone we meet in our path. And the more we spread our inner light the more healing we bring into this world and the bigger the impact we create because everybody seeing and being touched and inspired by our light remembers that they have their own light to shine; they remember that they too are stars in human form. How to make this happen? If you`re a writer – write your books. If you`re a sculptor – give shape to your sculptures. If you`re a singer – sing your songs. If you`re an actor – play in your movies. If you're a painter - paint your canvas. The light of art can only shine if we allow ourselves to be artistic channels and bring the magic from the non-physical to the physical. 🌟💚🌈 #Motivation #Inspiration #StayMotivated #YouCanDoIt #Success #Goals #PositiveVibes #DreamBig #NeverGiveUp #Mindset #BelieveInYourself #SelfImprovement #WorkHard #KeepGoing #MotivationalQuotes #Inspire #SuccessMindset #DailyMotivation #AchieveYourGoals #GrowthMindset #StayPositive #GoalDigger #PushYourself #Hustle #NoExcuses #HardWork #Achievement #MindsetMatters #BeYourBest #Empowerment #inspireothers #goaldigger
