Are you aware of the changes made to Employment Law this year? ➡️ The Flexible Working Act: Enforced on April 6th, employees can now make flexible working requests from day one. Each request requires a consultation and a response must be given within two months. ➡️ Carers' Leave Act: Also introduced on April 6th, employees are entitled to one week of unpaid leave to care for a dependant. This time can be split throughout the year. ➡️ Worker Protection Act Introduced on October 26th, employers must take steps to prevent sexual harassment. ➡️ Employment Rights Bill Will come into effect in 2026, it protects the rights of workers. Flexible working will be the default unless employers can prove it is unreasonable.
