Today, as we mark World Bee Day, it's a humble reminder of the invaluable role bees play in our world. Their tireless efforts in pollination are often overlooked, yet they are fundamental to the delicate balance of our ecosystem. As we admire these tiny but mighty creatures, let's also remember the importance of bee conservation and habitat protection. Every flower they visit, every crop they pollinate, plays a vital role in our food chain. So, whether you're planting bee-friendly flowers, supporting local beekeepers, or simply spreading awareness about their importance, let's all do our part to create a world where bees can thrive! Let's bee the change we wish to see in the world! 🐝💛🌻 #WorldBeeDay #SaveTheBees #BeeKind #PollinatorPower #BuzzingForBees #BeeTheChange #HiveMind #BeeHappy #Chiief #BeeConservation #PollinatorProtection #BeeAwareness #BeeSupport #Beekeepers

🌸🌱 Embrace #NoMowMay! This movement is more than letting your lawn grow wild for a month—it's about sharing our green spaces with small creatures that need them. Lawns cover 40 million acres in the US, but they often lack the floral resources and nesting sites bees and other pollinators need. Why mow less in the Spring? The start of the growing season is critical for hungry, newly emerged native bees. Allowing your lawn to grow longer and letting flowers bloom can provide much-needed nectar and pollen. Mowing less creates habitats and boosts wildlife diversity. Even mowing every 2-3 weeks can help! Let's rethink our lawns to support pollinators and make a big impact on biodiversity. Join the movement for a greener, buzzing lawn this May and the rest of Spring! 🌿💚 #NoMowMay #PollinatorFriendly #SaveTheBees #Biodiversity #EcoFriendly #GardeningForGood #NativePlants

Habitat loss is one of the greatest threats to pollinators today. These tiny creatures that buzz around us are essential to the survival of our ecosystems and, by extension, us. Pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds play a crucial role in the growth of the fruits, vegetables, and flowers we love and depend upon. Yet, their habitats are shrinking at an alarming rate, putting their - and our - future at risk. But there's hope, and it starts with us. How can you help? It's simpler than you might think: Plant more. And then, plant again. Imagine if each of us took a small step towards creating a pollinator-friendly environment. Together, we could create a mosaic of habitats that could significantly impact their survival and the health of our planet. Keep Growing!

Cities are built environments, and they're never finished. Empty roofs and walls are some of the biggest opportunities for incorporating nature and advancing biodiversity with plants. This product - pollinator habitat roof gardens by The Best Bees Company - is truly a game changer in the world of real estate and something that every scientist and pundit can indeed support. Green roofs and walls insulate buildings and lower operating costs, reduce the temperature of urban heat islands, capture carbon through photosynthesis, and feed pollinators (200k species of birds, butterflies, bees, and more). #commercialrealestate #greenroof #sustainability #carbon #greenroofs #greenrooftop #bees #pollinators #savethebees #greencities #TNFD

We're excited to share an update on our partnership with The Future Forest Company and our sponsorship of a 1,000 m² wildflower meadow. Over the last few months, the meadow we helped create has flourished, becoming a vibrant habitat brimming with life. Among the wildflowers like red clover, common cat’s ear, and meadow buttercup, we’re thrilled to see how these plants are providing critical lifelines for essential pollinators like bees and butterflies. Most notably, the meadow we helped create has become a sanctuary for one of the UK’s rarest butterflies—the Northern Brown Argus. This butterfly, which faced a staggering 58% decline in abundance between 1979 and 2019 due to habitat loss, has found a new home in the meadow we’ve supported. This serves as a powerful reminder that even the smallest actions can create significant positive change. Doing the right thing cements us as a company. Our commitment to restoring and protecting our planet is unwavering, and we will continue to support initiatives like this one that give our environment the best chance to thrive. Together, we can make a difference!🌍 #Sustainability #WildlifeConservation #CorporateResponsibility #TheFutureForestCompany #Biodiversity #EnvironmentalImpact

If you've been inspired by National Tree Week to plant a tree in your local community, then you need to take into consideration the 'Right tree, right place' principles 🌳 🌱 Seek expert local guidance to make sure the site you've chosen is suitable for tree planting 🌱 If the area is grassland rich in wildflowers, a coastal habitat, moorland or is wet and marshy, avoid planting trees. These habitats are already wonderful in their own rights and they may also have a wildlife or historic designation 🌱 The most suitable sites are likely to be arable or grassland areas with few existing wildflowers, plants or fungi, as tree planting is often the best natural solution to storing carbon 🌱 Native trees are best for helping native insects and animals to thrive. Choosing trees of certified UK provenance (i.e. grown in this country from locally-sourced seed) also avoids importing tree diseases! You can find a step-by-step guide over on our website: https://lnkd.in/eDfBHY-C The Tree Council

Happy Bee Day! Do you know that more than 50% of native bees are in decline and that 1 out of 4 species is in peril!? REWILDING or change the paradigm by changing the landscape. Become a lazy gardener 🦋🐞🐝🪲🪰🐜🦗🐦🦇 Here are some examples of responsible actions to understand and undertake DO 1. Convert lawns into diverse natural habitats by growing all-seasons blooming native plants (not cultivars) in clusters to provide floral consistency and support to native pollinators 2. Counter negative perception about insects, walk the talk 3. Volunteer for conservation organizations 4. Donate to conservation organizations 5. Contribute to community science and social projects 6. Support pollinators friendly farms and farms using best management practices to protect pollinators DON'T 1. Don't use pesticides 2. Don't mow 3. Limit use of exterior lighting 4. Lessen soap run off of washing vehicles 5. Don't remove dead leaves, stems, twigs, logs as they are nurseries and home for larvae, cavity-nesting bees, birds etc. 6. Limit the use of bee hotels, see point 5 instead as they can potentially harbour diseases unless properly maintained Special thanks to Canadian Wildlife Federation, David Suzuki Foundation , Lorraine Johnson, Heather Holm, Kristen Miskelly. #WorldBeeDay

Did you know: One third of our wild bee species is threatened with extinction. This is mainly because we have drastically reduced the amount of food and safe nesting sites that support them. The All-Ireland Pollinator Plan is a shared plan of action: together, we can take steps to restore pollinator populations to healthy levels, and we, at SAP Landscapes, are proud that for the 4th year running we’ve been providing both a constant food source and a habitat for our pollinators, as part of our support for the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan, as well as educating our clients and local schools on how they can do their part too. #bumblebee #allirelandpollinatorplan #biodiversity #saplandscapes #spring

🌳 509,500 Trees Planted in Australia! 👏 This isn’t just about planting trees—it’s a community effort that’s creating local jobs in tourism, vegetation, and pest management. This project is part of the Yorke Peninsula’s 20-year Marna Banggara program, working to connect habitats, improve wildlife spaces, and boost the ecosystem’s resilience. One key beneficiary is the critically endangered Brush-tailed Bettong (Woylie), a small but crucial animal that helps with seed dispersal and soil health. By enhancing its habitat and linking it to other Woylies, we're giving this species a better chance to thrive. #Reforestation #Biodiversity #CommunitySupport #WildlifeConservation #Australia
