It's week twenty-six of 2% Better 💪 , the series where I highlight an operational improvement my team is implementing that's not world-changing but gives us a meaningful small efficiency gain. If your company uses more than one tool to track tasks and project management this one's for you, boo! 📓 Summary: I've you've followed this series, you know that my team lives out of Asana! But I live out of Todoist for my personal life. Cue Pleexy, which allows me one source of truth for _all_ my to -os. 🌀 Background: Many moons ago, my bestie Caro Griffin turned me onto the Todoist app to manage my to do list. I use it every day to manage what needs to get done in my personal life, prioritization, and more. However, my team at work manages projects through Asana, which is perfect for professional project management. For years, I toggled between two apps, without a clear picture of everything I needed to get done in a day. Using the Pleexy integration, I can two-way sync all Asana and Todoist tasks. If I move the due date in one app, it syncs with the other. Same if I mark it as complete! It might feel small, but it is a HUGE time saver, giving me a much more precise view of what's on my plate every day. 📈 Impact: I have to save at least 15 minutes a day not toggling between two apps trying to see what's on deck. I feel more organized and on top of things. Oh, and Pleexy works with Microsoft To Do and Google Tasks, too! With this automation, every new task I create is instantly organized, helping me stay on top of my work without the manual effort of moving tasks around. Why automate in Asana? Automations like this are all about minimizing the small, repetitive actions that eat into your day. With Asana taking care of sorting tasks for me, I can focus on getting the real work done—without distractions. Checking in for INBOUND and was presented with an opportunity... Katrina Horne has been floating the idea of potentially moving Growth from Asana to ClickUp. Why do you love one or the other? Are there any other project management software options we should be considering? I'd love for the universe to connect us to both while we are here. Who should we talk to from Team Asana or Team ClickUp. Subscription needs - 20 seats (today) up to 30 (by signing time) - slack communication integration - time tracking - reporting - We do not share access to clients and we don't manage inside client accounts Katrina is an Asana Ambassador - so we recognize how big of a project this would be. To be 100% honest, the hours reporting function of Asana that shows hours turning into days vs just leaving it as hours is insanely frustrating. If they didn't have that problem we probably wouldn't be considering the change. Why is it like that 24 hours shows as 1 day So if we have a 200 hour project it shows 4 days and 6 hours. PROJECTS; This is where you see a series of projects, they are your organizations main units, which can be both private and public. You may create tasks, fill them with a variety of information and keep your workload balanced. CALENDER; The calender section in Asana allows you to view all your pending tasks. You can quickly switch between ‘list view and calender view’ in the Asana Calendar to see which tasks are due and when. PROS OF ASANA The design of the interfaces of Asana is attractive. An easy to use calender synced with all of your tasks. Possible to view your personal tasks in a single place. Email integration. CONS OF ASANA It does not allow you to assign multiple people to the same task. With so many duties in one location, the process might get slow.
