🌏 This year, we are thrilled to share that Cahaya Society has been verified by SEWF - Social Enterprise World Forum as a part of People & Planet movement globally. 🎉
There is a growing movement of enterprises that prioritise people and our planet over private profit. They include social enterprises, cooperatives, fair trade enterprises, social business and others. People and Planet First is a banner that unites this global movement. It provides a verification system that recognises trusted country-based and global certifications, provides verification in countries where these do not exist, allows access to resources and strengthens collective advocacy. Together, as a global network of partners and verified enterprises, we are all transforming business and building an economy for everyone to thrive, within the means of our living planet. 🌏
💪🏻 Lets work together in making impact to the targeted key population across sectors.

Today, on National Panchayati Raj Day, we celebrate the pivotal role of Panchayats in fostering inclusive local governance across India. This day marks the empowering of rural areas through decentralized administration, enabling communities to directly participate in their development. 🏡
In the spirit of empowerment, let's discuss how IT is revolutionizing Panchayati Raj institutions. A remarkable example is the e-Panchayat initiative, which digitizes various functions of Panchayats, making governance accessible, transparent, and more efficient. By integrating digital tools, Panchayats can manage resources better, ensure timely execution of projects, and maintain transparent records, all accessible with just a few clicks.
This digital transformation is crucial for development, as it not only brings government closer to the people but also paves the way for data-driven decision-making and efficient public service delivery.
As we reflect on the progress and potential of our Panchayats, let's commit to furthering the integration of technology in rural governance, ensuring every village can thrive in the digital era.

Yes, please, cite the work of scholars you admire--from well known to lesser known names. Matters to their careers, matters to who is considered "an expert." And cite scholars from the countries you are writing about/with for goodness sake: there is no country in the world without experts in environmental communication. Citations are an act of respect and gesture towards dialogue.
Environmental Communication (Journal) at International Environmental Communication Association (IECA)
“When asked what kind of projects we should envision to work towards, a women farmer immediately asked, ‘Will you care to listen?’ This skepticism is borne out of decades of researchers, policy experts, and government officials parading and then parachuting back to their air conditioned offices without bringing about any structural or transformational change in ideas, politics, or policies. — Jagadish Thaker (JT), https://lnkd.in/ga9cqfYV
One of many important reframes in Associate Editor Jagadish Thaker’s article, which amplifies voices from the Deccan Development Society, a grassroots collective of over 5000 women farmers primarily from disenfranchised communities in the Zaheerabad district of Telangana state in south India (https://www.ddsindia.org).
Thaker’s piece traces the genesis point of environmental communication to the everyday struggles and victories of movements in the Global South, creating space for more expansive and alternative origin stories for our field.
