I learned so much from my fellow panelists. H. James Wilson shared great statistics like only 20 percent of companies have data that is clean enough to enable unique GenAI use, and for every dollar in technology investment, companies should expect to invest 6-7 dollars on training and development. Rita McGrath blended beautiful historical stories like the origins of literacy and flight and real-world examples of companies rethinking supply chains and R&D using GenAI. And Des Dearlove masterfully facilitated it all. I described how history teaches us that disruptive change always casts a shadow, and play is a great way to build comfort with the new. Thanks to the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy, Thinkers50, and Accenture for putting on such a thought-provoking event.
