Harsh truth: If you aren’t getting inbound leads on your social media, stop blaming your social media manager.
The reality? Your content just isn’t engaging enough.
I learned this firsthand a while ago.
I had developed a highly organized system to manage one of my client’s social media accounts. We invested in an expensive scheduling tool, and I worked long hours—sometimes up to 10 hours a day—editing content, writing copy, and perfecting every detail.
But even with all that effort, new subscribers just weren’t coming in.
My client grew frustrated, saying, “You need to change your approach, work harder, perfect every tiny detail…” But I could see the actual problem: people simply weren’t interested in the content.
Then one day, we posted a simple reel on Instagram that only took a few minutes to edit. Surprisingly, it became one of our most successful posts.
The secret?
There’s no big secret at all. People often prefer simplicity over highly polished, complex edits. If you find a formula that works, stick with it.
And remember: don’t blame your social media manager if the results aren’t there. Sometimes, it’s just about the content itself.
