But in reality, they all work in combination. The big question is, with a limited budget: where is best to start? The reason why we often start with paid search, is that it’s usually the highest intent channel. People are actively searching for exactly what you offer (like a digital version of a catalogue index). By focusing on the most high-intent channel, we can gather useful information that then informs the rest of our activity: ✔ Which keywords should we focus on for SEO ✔ Which audiences and messages are working best ✔ Which parts of the site could be converting better I find it’s best to initially focus on the activity most likely perform… From there we can gather all the killer insight that informs your overall approach 👍

How? 📌 Identify higher value competitor KWs 📌 Create high quality, long form blog comparison content (e.g. "Hootsuite vs Buffer", "Buffer alternatives" with Buffer being the competitor and listing your tool as the best alternative, "best social media management tools" that compares several competitors that are ranking well, yet list your tool as the #1 tool and why it outperforms all the others Often, clients are hesitant to adopt that strategy.
