A good reminder for any AEs and SDRs figuring out how to get in front of that senior leader at your ’must win’ account. To get the interest of executives you need to show them a risk, opportunity or threat to their business they weren’t aware of, And often it’s the people doing the work that can help you formulate that unique perspective.

What makes a good Board leader? For the National Association of Corporate Directors, the answer is "fortitude." Corporations are witnessing seismic changes in a number of fields that are reinforcing and interacting with each other in unpredictable ways. This means the role of the Board is changing, and the NACD’s 2020 blue-ribbon commission argued that directors need to be more engaged with the business, while Board structure and processes change and become more transparent. Board leaders have to champion these changes, which requires courage, resiliency and determination - all aspects of fortitude. If you are thinking about a Board career one day, be ready to take a gut check. #corporategovernance #fortitude #boardcompetencies
