First networking event back on English turf! (complete) One of my incentives this year was to get into networking, and while my journey started in Australia, it’s been a little full circle moment meeting people in the industry here in my home town (Winchester!). Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Seen Agency Seen Social Event. We had the honour of hearing from the Marketing Director of THE PIG Hotel | B Corp. My three big takeaways were: 👉🏻Everything is in the details of how you interact with the consumer. 👉🏻Creating an experience builds successful, long-lasting brands by focusing on how your audience feels when interacting with your brand. 👉🏻Delivering the extra 5% to your customers and business truly makes a difference. That extra effort can turn a first-time consumer into a loyal one. So valuable! Having insights into how a leading hospitality brand has achieved success sparked thoughts on how we can implement experience and emotion into our digital strategies, using social media as a tool to create meaningful experiences for consumers. This is an aspect of social media and digital which can be often overlooked, brands are speaking at people, not to them. Thank you, Seen Agency can’t wait for the next one! #networkingwinchester #hospitalitymarketing #strategy

Over the years I have learned through many experiences how to build and manage a great event with the support of sponsors. The most important key is to remember that sponsors are partners and relationships that need to be built slowly and maintained personally. Authenticity and alignment are the foundation of a strong base of sponsors. Let's look at a few key ways to work with sponsors. 1. Deep Dive into Their World – Understand your potential sponsors’ pain points, goals, and target audiences. Become intimately familiar with their ecosystem before even reaching out. Ask more questions at the start to gain this deeper understanding. 2. Mutual Value – Sponsorship isn't a transaction; it's a partnership. Tailor proposals that show how you will deliver measurable value to their brand – beyond logos on banners. Think about aligning your event’s audience with their strategic goals. If it's not a fit, don't force it. 3. Relationships Over Revenue – Sponsors are long-term partners, not one-off deals. Take the time to nurture those relationships, deliver on your promises, and give them experiences that exceed their expectations. 4. Innovate Constantly – Surprise and delight your sponsors with creative, outside-the-box activations that genuinely engage attendees. Static booths are a thing of the past. Creativity will always win the day. 5. Always Be Listening – Post-event feedback is gold. Sponsors want to know how they performed and how their investment impacted their business. Show them you care about their outcomes as much as your own. When you approach sponsors from a place of authenticity, expertise, and long-term thinking, you create lasting partnerships that elevate your events year after year. Also remember that not every event goes as planned every single time, addressing the challenges openly and keeping the lines of communication strong and solution-oriented are the best ways to turn a challenge into an opportunity. #EventProducers #SponsorshipStrategy #EventPartnerships #EventMarketing

As someone who’s worked in marketing and events for… well…. a very long time, it is always a total treat to be on the other side. Last week I had the total pleasure of being a delegate at the inaugural Partner Conference for an incredible product business. This event was the first of its type for this business and they’ve started to engage their Channel in new ways to help support future growth. I’m super excited to be a part of the future partnership here. This served as a great reminder of the power of events. Here are just a few reasons why they’re soooo valuable… ⚡️ Communicate several messages at once to a highly targeted audience ⚡️ Facilitate the deepening of relationships ⚡️ Instigate feedback and collect research and gather insights ⚡️ Create on the spot action plans to move things forward (for example there are a few immediate things I’ll be working on next week as a direct result of this event. All of these ‘things’ will help generate future revenue.) Not to mention, events are a huge content generating activity too. UGC as well as original content that the host can use in their own marketing efforts. No matter what your business is or does, there is always a place for events in the marketing mix. The trick? Doing these for a reason, not just because. This one was a great example of a how to deliver an inaugural event, create buzz, and importantly, meet others and instigate action. Ps - who doesn’t love a buffet breakfast and a change of scene! #events #partnermarketing #businessdevelopment

Boost recently hosted a wonderful networking event, and it was one for the books. 🥂 But events are about more than gathering people and having a good time. They're about achieving real business goals and growing your company. How do you know if your event has really been a success? Here are a few examples of event KPIs to pay attention to: ➡️ Website traffic: did your event drive traffic? ➡️ Conversion rates: consider the % of visitors who bought tickets ➡️ Social media engagement: how impactful was your event's online reach? ➡️ Revenue and ROI: did your spending pay off? ➡️ Satisfied guests: ask your guests for feedback to improve your next event Want to learn more about hosting business events and how to measure these KPIs? Thrilled to see more brands taking the initiative to produce their own events rather than dedicating their entire budgets to sponsor other people's events. 😍 Yes, it's controversial, especially since my work revolves around securing sponsorships. But it's all about the openness and willingness of existing events to help a company meet its goals. Are they just handing you pre-made packages and asking you to pay? If that's been your experience, I completely agree that hosting your own events will give you more value for your investment. Picture having all your dream clients in one place for a few hours versus being surrounded by thousands of not-so-ideal clients and trying to create connections. At Brandie Weaver Partnerships, we specialize in helping brands create experiences that resonate deeply with their target audience. From concept to execution, we ensure every detail aligns with your vision and goals, maximizing your ROI and fostering meaningful engagements. Ready to elevate your brand with custom-tailored events that make a lasting impact? Let’s make it happen! 🎉 #eventproduction

Here’s how to increase the reach of your in-person events, while significantly reducing the cost-per-person reached. Example: You run an event that costs you £5,000 to put on, and there are 100 people in the room, so that’s a cost-per-person reached of £50. What if you added £2,000 to your £5,000 event costs, which makes the event £7,000, but the event now doubles up as a content creation session? Via LinkedIn, YouTube and other channels, your event reach could quite easily exceed 10,000 people, with a cost-per-person reached cost of £0.70. Also, if you have a sponsor, you can obviously charge more for a sponsorship that reached 10,000 targeted people than one that reaches 100. A great way to do that is to interview each speaker, executive, and client to produce a 90-second summary video for each of them - Suddenly your in-person event has become the catalyst for a month’s worth of interesting social content. We absolutely love creating people-shaped content from events at Six Sells, so if you need some external support, please do get in touch! 🧡 #events #b2bmarketing #media

We're not even a month out from Apartmentalize, and lots of suppliers are already thinking about next year. They're examining creative booth activations, cool private event opportunities, and better ways to stand out at the next event. As suppliers, we *need* to capitalize on those big events throughout the year. Lots of people have called Apartmentalize the Super Bowl of our industry. But don't forget to put in the work now that's going to help carry you in between those events ... and give you an extra advantage when it's time to hit the show floor. The good news: There's no one right way to do this. Find your unique way to add value, then stick with it. Need some inspiration? Check out these folks: ⭐️ Sydney Webber is building an engaged audience with consistent, thoughtful conversations on her podcast (and a solid strategy for how to repurpose that content for even more reach). ⭐️ Janet Rosseth is growing her community through weekly online meetups and lots of supporting resources. ⭐️ Dom Beveridge is digging deep into the minds of top industry executives, extracting and publishing insights about the forefront of the industry. ⭐️ Bobbi and Ben Steward are at the center of an incredible community that includes both operators and suppliers. ⭐️ Barbara Savona 🌱 shares regular freebies and adds value consistently through her email campaigns. ⭐️ Mike Wolber studies go-to-market best practices from other industries and applies them to build top-tier sales teams wherever he goes. ⭐️ Jindou Lee and his team are building an API marketplace to bring more partners (and customers) into their ecosystem. All different paths. And each is finding success in their own way. If you're a supplier trying to figure out how to stand out in the sea of craziness that is virtually every major industry event, start way outside the expo floor. If you want to position yourself to speak on stage as an industry expert, show how you add value first. Start now. Not sure *where* to start? You're in the right place – right here on LinkedIn. It might be sharing videos, or starting a newsletter, or just simple text posts and articles. You can't replace the meaningful connections and relationships that are built in person at events. But you can *amplify* them and give yourself a head start. Take it back to the Super Bowl. In sports, championships are won with the work you put in during practice and the "off-season." Now's the time to put in that work to increase your profile, become the go-to resource in your area of focus, and make your next event your most successful one yet. You got this. #multifamily #proptech #gotomarket #propertymanagement

Are you tired of the same old routine at events? Ever wondered why the excitement fizzles out faster than you can say "novelty"? As an event marketer, you know the struggle of keeping your audience engaged amidst the constant clamor for something new. But here's the million-dollar question: How do you maintain the momentum when novelty has an expiration date? Event marketing thrives on novelty. It's the shiny allure that draws attendees in, promising an experience unlike any other. Whether it's groundbreaking technology, avant-garde themes, or celebrity appearances, novelty sets your event brand apart in a crowded marketplace. But here's the catch: novelty is fleeting. What's new today becomes old news tomorrow, leaving event marketers scrambling to reinvent the wheel. While novelty dazzles, value endures. It's the substance beneath the surface, the reason why attendees keep coming back for more. Value transcends fleeting trends and superficial gimmicks. It's about delivering meaningful experiences, forging genuine connections, and providing tangible takeaways. In a world saturated with flashy distractions, value is what sets your event brand apart.
