We are just one month away from Thrive Global Summit 2024, one of my favorite AgTech conferences, which takes place in Santa Clara, CA on Thursday, November 7th. I am looking forward to participating on the “Value Chain Transformation” panel, moderated by Danny O'Brien, SVG Ventures | THRIVE, along with panelists Lisa Kissick, UFA and Trevor Mecham, Valmont Industries, Inc., where we will explore the profound impact of digital transformation across every stage of the value chain.
I appreciate the invitation from John Hartnett, Helen Hartnett and SVG Thrive team, who always do a fantastic job of bringing together key stakeholders throughout the food & agriculture ecosystem, including farmers, to discuss real-world challenges and actionable solutions.
In addition to my panel, I am excited to watch other panels, including:
“AI's Transformative Potential in Agriculture”, which will explore the groundbreaking applications of AI in agriculture, revolutionizing productivity, sustainability, and innovation across the global food system.
“The Future of Agrifood Tech Investments”, which will analyze trends in agri-food tech investments, identifying emerging opportunities, and discussing the role of venture capital in fostering innovation.
“Driving Agri-Food Innovation through Global Collaboration”, which will highlight successful collaborations between startups, corporations, and governments and sharing insights from leaders who have navigated the complexities of such partnerships to achieve impactful results.
“Dairy's Vital Role in Methane Mitigation”, which will cover pioneering methane mitigation strategies that are crucial for environmental sustainability and agricultural innovation.
“Soil Health”, which will discuss the knowledge gap farmers face today about the soil quality and potential solutions that can help improve performance, while being more environmentally sustainable.
In addition to these great panels, there will be pitches from a variety of companies competing to be chosen as the best in class in the following categories: Food Security & Waste Reduction; Nutrition & Health; Reducing & Offsetting GHG Emissions; Soil Health & Biodiversity; and Water & Energy.
