I really enjoyed attending Diversity Project - Investment Industry annual conference with the theme this year of #maximisingthemeperformance accompanied by fellow board members of the The 5% Club Mark Cameron OBE and Ozlem Gunduz Robinson. It was good to also have Lewis Robinson with us. Congrats to Linda Russheim and the team for organising another successful event. Looking forward to the Cognitive Diversity Research that is being led by Alex Edmans #cognitivediversity #assetmanagement

The 5% Club was delighted to attend yesterday's (29 November 2024) Diversity Project - Investment Industry Annual Conference, kindly hosted by Nasreen Kasenally (Global COO and UK CEO, UBS Asset Management). Our Trustees Ozlem Gunduz Robinson and Charlene Sagoe - both involved deeply with the Banking & Financial Services sector - were joined by Mark Cameron OBE, our CEO, and Lewis Robinson, Corporate Banking & Markets Graduate at Lloyds Banking Group. A packed agenda covered a broad range of topics, with the contemporary Diversity and Inclusion challenge brought neatly to life by Bi-Jingo Ltd's interactive session - a particular highlight. And it was great to hear from Chair, Baroness Helena Morrissey DBE and Professor Alex Edmans about the newly launched research project into "Cognitive Diversity", which seeks to explore how this impacts on sector decision making. In essence, it will test the business case for DE&I (see here - https://lnkd.in/eCAgdAn3). The 5% Club is keen to be involved in this project, especially if it can demonstrate that the different educational pathways and/or "Earn & Learn" schemes can contribute to delivering effective cognitive diversity into decision making at all levels up to the Boardroom. A great afternoon ... and much food for thought! #diversityproject #financialservices #earnandlearn #diversityequityinclusion
