I am extremely humbled to receive the 2024 ACM SIGMM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award at MM2024 held last week in Melbourne, Australia. I have many people to thank for, including my PhD supervisor Prof. Thomas S. Huang, all my students, my mentors, and my collaborators. My sincere thanks go to my nominator Prof. Ralf Steinmetz, and his nomination team: Klara Nahrstedt, Shih-Fu Chang, Zhengyou Zhang, and Yong Rui, as well as the SIGMM Award Committee. My special thanks go to my wife Angela and our children Ken and Joanna.
