This is the question we were asking ourselves at the beginning of our first internal meeting discussing a new idea: Introduce Company Awards A decision was soon made. We came to the conclusion that recognition isn’t just a “nice to have”; it plays a key role in business growth. Psychologically, being recognised for hard work boosts morale, motivation, and strengthens commitment. According to research, when employees and companies feel acknowledged for their efforts, they’re more likely to stay engaged, perform better, and maintain loyalty. Considering the alignment of this with our mission to help small companies and startups with online visibility we decided to pull the trigger and go for it! Our main goal with the Enterprise League Top Company Awards is to recognise the businesses that are making an impact, leading with innovation, and paving the way for future collaborations. We want to celebrate companies that have show innovation and exceptional performance (which can have different meaning depending on their size) while actively engaging with the Enterprise League ecosystem. Our CEO has been in the enterprise world for over 2 decades. He’s worked with over 100 of the Fortune 500, he’s IPO’d 5 companies and has done over a billion in both revenue and savings over the years. That was all to preface 2 of his 100%, no waivering, demands when it comes to events. 1. We must 10x in profits in 16months or it was not a success. 2. We must have a clear intention on why we are going to an event and if we sign other clients and not the ones we went for..that’s not a success, that’s just luck. At first, I thought this was unrealistic. But what I have learned is when the bar is set this high, and the fact that you have to bring a plethora of data to even get an event improved by him, the prep work before, during and after is so intentional it makes the team wildly successful.
