There’s a common theme that the C-suite needs to become 'more tech-savvy', particularly in digital technologies. At Chain Mountain, we wholeheartedly support this view—understanding the basics is no longer optional. However, this expectation is a two-way street. Technology leaders must also become 'business-savvy'. The era of focusing solely on applications and infrastructure is behind us. It’s time to elevate our roles and embrace the Chief Technology Business Officer (CTBO).

I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my new venture, AIM. For Digital Change. (www.weaimfor.com). Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working on challenging digital transformation programs across a variety of industries. These experiences have involved implementing cutting-edge technologies that drive new operational models, enhance customer value, and reduce operational costs. Yet, despite the successes, I often felt like I was arriving late to the table—struggling with alignment and the critical ownership of business outcomes. It was during this journey that I crossed paths with my business partner, Samantha Lagendijk, who shared my vision and saw the same opportunity. Together, we were inspired by the profound impact that digitization has on businesses, business models, and the people who make it all happen. This shared inspiration led us to create AIM, with a mission to help companies not just adapt but evolve and thrive in an ever-changing digital landscape. AIM was born out of a simple catch-up conversation between Samantha and me, after we’d each spent a year immersed in other projects. What started as a casual chat quickly grew into deep discussions, eventually leading to the foundation of AIM. I want to extend a special thank you to LQ - Energise for Success, Gunter Blanckaert, Anne Kloosterboer, Geert Letens, and Heidi Theys for an inspirational year. Your support has been invaluable. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey. And if you’re navigating your own digital transformation, let’s connect—we’re here to help. #digitalchange #innovation #strategicdesign #digitaltransformation #business #businesstransformation #AI #cyber #esg

True digital transformation isn’t just about tech—it’s about investing in feedback and transparency. While 93% of execs express tech frustrations, real progress comes from a commitment to continuous improvement.
