Here's our roundup of standout milestones: ☑️ The first Australian cell ag regulatory approvals: 👉 Vow’s cultivated quail is now for sale in Singapore and Hong Kong, available as its Forged Parfait and Forged Gras products, and All G has secured regulatory approval to sell its precision-fermented lactoferrin in China. 👉 Precision fermentation contract manufacturer Cauldron Ferm also received a first-of-its-kind license from the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator to produce precision-fermented proteins in Australia. 💰 Investment: 👉 Plant-based molecular farming company Miruku closed its pre-Series A round (NZD $5M) 👉 Cauldron Ferm’s Series A (AUD $9.5M). 📈 Public funding: 👉 Cauldron Ferm secured an Industry Growth Program grant (AUD $4.3M) from the Australian Government , as well as support from the Queensland Government to develop the Cauldron Bio-fab in Mackay 👉 Cauldron Ferm were also awarded a grant to plan a US-based facility (USD $1.76M) by the United States Department of Defense 🏭 Manufacturing: 👉 $3.9M in funding for the Mackay Pilot Plant Upgrade 👉 Funding to develop the Cauldron’s commercial-scale Bio-fab in Mackay. 🤝 Partnerships: 👉 Nourish Ingredients announces partnerships with Fonterra and China-based CABIO BIOTECH 👉 CAA (that's us!) entered into a strategic partnership with The Good Food Institute APAC 📺 Growing maturity & visibility: 👉 Multiple Australian cell ag companies being profiled in mainstream media channels this year: including Noumi (ABC Landline), Magic Valley (Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars) 👉 Magic Valley listed in the Foodtech 500 list 🌍 Ecosystem building: 👉 Australian industry representatives travelled to Singapore as a part of the ‘Build Your BioFuture’ delegation at Singapore Agrifood Week.
