Want bodycam footage? What are my rights 🤔 Right of Access: You can request footage that contains your personal data, meaning you are identifiable in the recording. Subject Access Request (SAR): To formally request the footage, you need to submit a SAR to the organization that holds the footage (e.g., the police force, a security company). Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): If you face difficulties obtaining the footage, you can seek guidance and support from the ICO, the UK's independent body set up to uphold information rights. You may need the footage redacting. Content Capture Services can help. Check out https://lnkd.in/eAhWMieE

Inappropriate image manipulation. New to the flowchart: • option for immediate retraction under certain conditions • recommendation to publish an expression of concern while an institutional investigation is ongoing • more emphasis on whether the image manipulation affects the article's conclusions when making a decision on actions • an option to publish a retraction or correction if an honest error has been detected that does or does not invalidate conclusions, respectively. #ImageManipulation #ResearchIntegrity #PublicationEthics https://ow.ly/SMAN50S7hCE

And so it begins. I have just had to respond to a DCMA threat against my old website. Some attorney is accusing me of using their client's image without permission or credit. a) that their client is using the words 'Claude' and 'AI' in their company name suggests they are not probably not very old (they do not appear to have any association with Anthropic, owners of the Claude LLM) b) there is no sign of the image, or anything like it, on their website (they provided a link that they demanded I need to use to credit them) c) the image in question is one that I paid for under license with iStockphoto in 2014 for use on my website and in presentations. It was first uploaded by its creator to iStockphoto in 2012. Hoping providing the link to the correct source, and its iStockphoto ID will be sufficient to shut the issue down. But I guess we are going to get a lot more of this. 😠

In this post, Crawforth highlights the need for solutions that can ensure the authenticity of video content…and all digital media. Check it out at the link in the comments! #securityindustry

The law, first introduced in 2022, would implement an “upload moderation” system that scans all your digital messages, including shared images, videos, and links. Each service required to install this “vetted” monitoring technology must also ask permission to scan your messages. If you don’t agree, you won’t be able to share images or URLs.

Recent data shows that 61% of voters are unsure if AI is being used in political campaigns, highlighting the serious need for transparency. Voters deserve to know if and how AI tools are being utilized to avoid confusion between real and fabricated messages. 81% of polled voters believe that AI threatens election security, which emphasizes the importance of campaigns being open about their use of technology. It's time for a new era of honesty in political advertising to build trust between politicians and citizens. #TransparencyMatters #AIinPolitics
