Did you know Ontario’s youth can start their careers in skilled trades while still in high school? 🛠️ The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) is a game-changer for students exploring careers in skilled trades. By combining classroom learning with hands-on experience, OYAP allows students to: - Gain real-world experience alongside skilled professionals - Earn credits toward their high school diploma while starting their apprenticeship hours - Fast-track into rewarding, in-demand careers With a significant shortage of skilled tradespeople across Ontario, programs like OYAP are more important than ever. They connect the next generation with opportunities in trades like millwrighting, industrial electrical work, plumbing, welding, and tool & die making—critical roles that keep our industries thriving. ⚙️ If you’re a student, parent, or educator, OYAP is a resource worth exploring to unlock incredible career pathways. Let’s inspire more young minds to build the future, one trade at a time. 🏗️ Visit oyap.ca for more details. Skilled trades are essential—let’s make sure they have the workforce they need! 💡 #SkilledTrades #YouthCareerDevelopment #FutureBuilders #ApprenticeshipOpportunities #HandsOnLearning #TradeSkills #CareerPathways #OntarioCareers #WorkforceDevelopment #InDemandJobs #itecIMPACT #BeyondResumes #RecruitmentReimagined

OYAP is such a game changer, Celeste! Thanks for bringing attention to it. I recently met two young women who qualified for accelerated OYAP and graduated high school with their Level 1 apprenticeship hours completed! 🤩 Just turning 18 and already way ahead in their skilled trade career because they took advantage of this FREE opportunity. 👏🏼🏫
