To drive transformative change in women’s health, WHAM is fueling multidisciplinary collaboration to expand innovation. The Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) Patient Engagement Summit explored innovative strategies for advancing women’s health research and medical breakthroughs through public-private partnerships. 🔍 Key Takeaways: • Disproportionate Impacts: Most research funding is not going towards women focused research, preventing medical breakthroughs in the field of women’s health. • Innovation and Investment: Innovation cannot expand without funding. We must push for increased investment into research on diseases disproportionately impacting women. • Public-Private Partnerships: These innovative collaborations will drive women’s health medical breakthroughs by combining resources, expertise and innovation. WHAM understands the need for funding women’s health research, for both economic and societal benefits. By creating partnerships and investing in innovation for women’s health, we can create sustainable change for women. Did you know that #cocreation is the first step in a #ParticipatoryDesign process and is crucial to deeply understand the habits and needs of end users? Here is our last article about "Promoting Sustainable E-Waste Management Through Citizen Engagement" in the framework of the project Circular Digital Health (DiCE project)
Citizen engagement is vital for fostering attitudinal shifts and driving meaningful change, especially in the digital health context. That is why our project partners from INTRAS Research, Innovation and Knowledge Unit, LiCalab - Living & Care Lab, and RRA Podravje - Maribor conducted numerous co-creation sessions in the past year, including 228 citizens from three different countries. What are participatory methodologies and how do we involve citizens (healthcare professionals, pensioners, students, industry actors) in Circular Digital Health (DiCE project) ? 👉https://lnkd.in/e3bazsku Sign up to be notified of our next sessions! 👉 https://lnkd.in/eVUJM7pa María José Hernández Echegaray Rosa Almeida Elisa Sáez Muñoz #citizenengagement #behaviouralscience #digitalhealth

Attention health sector conference organisers - this is what involving consumers in your event could look like. And if you're having a health conference and you're not involving consumers in some way, you might want to consider if you can possibly be discussing person-centred or patient-centred care... #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs #PartneringWithConsumers
The #HealthInnovationCommunityConference starts this Sunday August 4th to Wednesday August 7th, 2024, in Brisbane. The collaborative work of digital health innovators in the healthcare system is where service transformation and system reform begins. ‘It Starts With Us’ acknowledges that as a community, we are all responsible for initiating and creating positive change. #HIC2024 will accelerate knowledge, build community, and drive change that enhances the positive impact of digital technologies in healthcare. Bellberry is delighted to provide funding towards 1) Assisting 6 consumer leaders speaking on-stage across the program 2) Helping 10 consumers with diverse experiences collaborate with researchers throughout the Academic Translational Research In Digital Health stream at the conference. They will be learning and reviewing research proposals and plans together with early and mid-career researchers and academic leaders 3) Providing support and facilitation to support 14 consumers to access and participate well at the conference (pre-conference online meet and greet with other consumers, conference buddies allocated, and navigation support, inclusion at welcome and first-timers events with other delegates) 4) Assisting with an interactive session being live-streamed to broaden participation Bellberry's funding is combined with the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (AIDH) event sponsors and the University of Melbourne to provide some great outcomes for consumers rom regional and metro areas across SA, WA, VIC, NSW and QLD. We look forward to learning about the conference outcomes! #digitalhealth #HIC2024 #consumer #AIDH
