She was the best manager of a complex Southern California bus company I ever had the pleasure to be associated with. When a new owner would dismiss her the biz would go to hell. The resolution was simple: hire her back AND leave her alone. The business would be resurrected. A great lady and a brilliant leader. So sorry she is gone. RIP

The thing that really frames her career is that she could stand toe to toe with any man, and come away with a new friend and a resolution to the discussion. She really showed any woman that saw her in action that “yes…… I can do that!”.

She was at great mentor and friend! Beautiful service for an amazing lady who carved the path for so many women in the industry. She was always a lady, kind but incredibly confident and knowledgeable. RIP Darlene, your legacy lives on.

Such a great lady. She was always so kind to me and other members of the IT team in the years we worked together. I will miss her beautiful smile.
