Transit has been on my mind recently, as I start working on transit forecasts using our WFRC travel demand model... I think these are all great incentives. For me personally, work and home locations convenient to transit played the biggest role in helping me get rid of my car and choose transit as a primary mode of transportation to and from work.

IGA Clubs General Increases 2025: Gard shares 2025 - 2026 general increases Gard AS, one of the leading P&I insurers, has announced a 4% premium increase as of February 2025 to address rising claims costs and economic uncertainty. The Norwegian company will also offer a 10% discount to shipowners renewing their P&I coverage. These capital returns are structured as one-time distributions, ensuring they do not reduce overall premium revenue. This marks the 16th consecutive year Gard will return capital to its owners - an amazing achievement for the Arendal-based insurer, who reported its second-highest profits of $236 million earlier this year. With gross premiums of $1.18 billion, Gard holds the largest share among the International Group of P&I Clubs. The DDRB award is a positive step - but we are still hundreds of £millions worse off in terms of the resources to keep our practices open compared with even five years ago. GPs in ARRS is an emergency measure, but we need the new Government to rebuild trust and listen to our sustainable solutions for getting GPs into *practices* as well as many other suggestions which will support their manifesto commitments. Today - practices are still closing and GPs are still leaving. So we begin our action. Thanks to the BMA GPC for leading this 🙏
