As we continue to prioritise the safety of our staff, the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority has reopened its offices today with some employees continuing to work remotely. However, due to the ongoing adverse weather conditions, our offices will close at 2:00pm today to allow our staff sufficient time to return home safely. All offices will resume normal business hours on Thursday, 26 September 2024. For further updates, visit: https://lnkd.in/gjs8Y8bX

Alert for Business Travel and Global Mobility Teams. Are you sending employees to the Olympics in France? 🏅 The Olympics committee is reminding everyone of key compliance obligations: 1. Sipsi (Posted Worker Notifications in France): An electronic filing system used by French authorities to track foreign workers. 2. A1 Certificate: Confirms which country's social security system is applicable for each employee. Non-compliance can lead to hefty fines and reputational damage. At The Cozm, we leverage advanced technology to automate these processes. Our average filing time is less than 60 seconds and we cover over 30 countries. We can help your organisation and its employees stay compliant, no matter where they travel from.

Our very own Katrina Huergo, shared her thoughts on the return-to-office (RTO) mandates. 💡 "The argument for in-office mandates is often tied to productivity – but the two are not always positively correlated. We embrace flexibility at Raisely, which has not only benefited our team but allowed us to grow, both professionally and personally, as we navigate major life milestones like parenthood or cross-country moves. Our remote work policy has been a major driving force of that success, rather than a threat to productivity. We’ve found that when people are treated with respect and trust, they respond with dedication and hard work when it’s most needed. This trust and flexibility we’ve established even allowed us to successfully move to a four-day work week.” #RTO #ReturnToOfficeMandate #RemoteWork #FlexibleWork #RemoteCompany #HybridWork #FourDayWorkWeek
Discourse throughout Australian organisations implementing return-to-office (RTO) mandates is ramping up as NSW Premier Chris Minns announced that all public servants would be coming back to the office. https://bit.ly/3XwI6ro

The past few years have shown just how crucial it is to have a solid contingency plan for mobility and staffing, especially in regions hit by ongoing crises. While it's impossible to anticipate every situation, there are practical steps both businesses and individuals can take to stay agile and ready to move at short notice: 🧑🤝🧑 Know your people: Are you aware of your employees' primary and secondary nationalities? 📄 Keep essential documents on hand: Are passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, and professional qualifications easily accessible? 🏡 Understand personal situations: Are there elderly dependents, children, or medical conditions that require careful planning? 🌍 Stay informed: Are consulates open, and are there changes to local conditions you need to be aware of? 🛡️ Plan your next steps: How will you get everyone to safety first (immediate response), and how will you secure long-term personal and employment stability (secondary response)? 🔄 Be flexible and adaptive: The political and immigration landscape can change rapidly—are you prepared to adjust your strategy? 📢 Communicate effectively: Keep impacted employees, stakeholders, and your immigration partner in the loop at all times. Join my colleagues Louise Collins Annie Weir Hans Benson and Ali Haider for a webinar 'Strategic Immigration Solutions for Navigating the Middle East Crisis' and dive deeper into practical solutions for managing mobility challenges in times of crisis. International SOS releases findings on the financial impact that failed business trips and international assignments, can have on organisations. Supported by a Return on Investment report led by Ipsos and developed with KPMG, the figures show that the cost of a failed international assignment can reach up to USD 1.25 million. This was my first time attending a VARC (Virginia Area Relocation Council) meeting, and it did not disappoint! Key Takeaways: -Be prepared for anything regarding January and the Inauguration of President Trump. Being reactive may be your only option, so stay informed about potential changes and how they could impact your business and employees. -Expect increases: Higher turnaround times for visas, increased legal fees, rising prevailing wages, and more travel bans are on the horizon. -Communication is crucial in any business. Be transparent and share what you know with your leadership team and corporate clients. -Nothing is free, and you can’t get everything you want without a cost. Prioritize what matters most to you, but let's talk through it! 🚨 NEVER FORGET: This is a relationship-driven business, no matter which side you’re on. #VARC #mobility #Hilldrup #peoplemovers
