Even when things don't land as you planned You are enough anyway. Here is a little snippet from this month's EFT tapping recording for My Horse is My Mirror Mastery 🫶 Every month an email drops into their inbox with a worksheet & tapping around the theme or topic we are exploring. In August we are exploring language & communication 💙What does it mean? 💙Why is it important? 💙 What is our relaitonship with it? 💙How can we approach it from a place of regulation & attunement? 💙 What do we want to re define when it comes to the conversations with ourselves? 💙 And what layers of safety support this process to unfold? How do you feel about language? How do you want to feel? Stay wild, Cat xx

Q2 started with a workshop! I have had the opportunity to speak to educators on numerous occasions around the topic of "conflict resolution through effective communication" and also "Authenticity." Communication is a subject/skill that weaves itself through numerous topics. It is the one topic that I enjoy chatting/sharing because of it's versatility. I can honestly do this with my eyes closed. More importantly it is a topic that can make or break relationships both in the virtual or in-person world. Yesterday, I had the privy to share on how to use it for positive outcomes in relationships. Of course the human factor plays a huge role but if we are intentional we can get the positive outcome that we all seek. Speak Peace!!

Communication can take many forms: we use spoken language to engage in conversations, ask and answer questions, and verbally articulate our innermost wants and needs. However, we can often communicate just as effectively, if not more so, through our non-verbal body language. We are all ‘behaving’ all of the time, and behaviours can have different meanings depending on the context, and the individual involved. Here, we go through the importance of non-verbal communication and what you should keep in mind when it comes to early warning signs of distress. This downloadable resource is from our sister brand, Team Teach, experts in behaviour support training: https://lnkd.in/dpNZMEca

POLISHED LANGUAGE…? Yes please 😊 There’s nothing quite like learning and using polished language when we speak or deliver our messaging! I sure do appreciate carrying conversations that are well structured and most importantly teach me something new. Part of what I do is coach people on how to improve their language and I always encourage incorporating new luxurious words that can instantly elevate your speech. So here’s a word to learn, practice and use this week to elevate your speech! SAVOIR FAIRE (pronounced sav-wär-‘fer) Is French for having the capacity for appropriate action OR one who posses the skill and grace of dealing with others. In a sentence you’d say: I admire her sophistication and savior faire. Now go on.. roll it around your tongue and use it this week! ☺️

“You teach people how to treat you by what you allow, what you stop, and what you accept.” The antidote? Learning clear and powerful communication. The first step is starting to realize that we train people to treat us in certain ways by our own reaction- what we accept and don’t accept. Start to see where you’re dissatisfied with how people treat you. Start to notice where you have been subconsciously training them to treat you that way (or at least allowing them to do it).

I just finished the course “Confident Communication for Introverts” by TJ Guttormsen. ✨As someone who would be considered an introvert, this course has provided me with valuable tips and tricks to conquering my fears on public speaking. Eye contact and open body language makes you seem more confident. Useful advice from this was to go back to a time in your life where you was confident on something and analysing how you portrayed yourself to seem knowledgable and dominant. This will help me practise and realise how to convey more confident body language. ❌This course has also reminded me to step out of my comfort zone in order to achieve new things - specifically in the “growth zone” where I can practise it without causing trauma. ⭐️I have also learnt how to deal with interruptions in a kinder and professional manner. A smile and a pleasant tone goes a long way, but also remember to be firmer and assertive if this happens more than once, without creating a personal attack. 🌸Finally, I learnt about the concept of positive tension to elevate how you feel. Playfulness, challenges and affirmations will make your authenticity more appreciated and will motivate others to collaborate.

When you’re having a conversation with people, do you listen to what they are saying or are you waiting to speak? In our Leading Yourself and Leading Others Experience we dedicate an entire day to developing our listening skills. It’s amazing to me how most people’s listening skills are so poor. The first micro-skill we teach for listening is to be quiet; to not interrupt and to show attending behaviours of nodding your head etc. to show that you are actually hearing and listening to what the other is saying. This skill is so important because it enables you to really understand what the other is saying and that is my point for today. Here's what I mean https://lnkd.in/gqmJTMhV
