Another year, another journey with #Agile2024 submissions. Disappointed but not discouraged—my submissions for Agile2024 weren't selected among the fierce competition of 1100 entries for 125 spots. I can't help but wonder about the elements of chance and subjectivity in the selection process and think there's room for dialogue on how we can bridge the gap between tradition and innovation in how we share and celebrate Agile knowledge. I invite the community to share thoughts and experiences on navigating these challenges. My meta-meta insight on the challenge faced by the #Agile community is: we quickly revert back to ego-driven competition and survival. Melissa Boggs and Matt Barcomb hosted a debate session on the topic of “Agile has become exactly what large organizations need.” … as part of #AudaciousSalon at #Agile2024 It was somewhat shocking to see how quickly the push for success took hold and people became positional and adversarial. The context of sharing and learning together was replaced with tribal competition and us vs them mentality. How can we triumph over the real challenges that face us when we so easily fall victim to our egos and become divided? Agile Alliance
