Buy Now Pay Later - Draft Legislation is out. So, the long-awaited BNPL draft will come out from the Treasury in combination with the FCA, which will conduct oversight/legislation. Most of this will be boring to the average consumer (although I think it will make BNPL harder to access), but the one area that I think is GREAT news is the expansion of Section 75, which makes the BNPL provider jointly liable for purchases over £100 in the event the retailer doesn't provide the product or service or specific other issues occur. The growth of different payment methods in the UK over the past 10 years has been hugely positive but at a watered-down protection if things went wrong through no fault of the consumer. This is a big tick in the box, in my opinion. What do you think about legislation changes in the BNPL market? https://lnkd.in/e9BNCaZJ
