A vulnerable and exciting update for my network:
A little over a year ago, when I joined The Admin Effect as their Chief Marketing Officer, I stepped out of my comfort zone and really put my imposter syndrome to the test. I could confidently tell an office how many seminars they would need to hold to meet their growth goals for the year. I could identify gaps in branding and deliverables for a company, create and execute a social media calendar, and organize a client events schedule.
However, I had no idea what Firelight was. I didn't know what a replacement application entailed. I didn't fully grasp the difference between a carrier and a custodian. The only thing I knew about a Roth IRA was simply that I had one. And don't even ask me to explain the difference between qualified and non-qualified funds. The list goes on...
I share this because, in a matter of months, with the guidance and support of our incredible team, I learned what Firelight was (spoiler: it's not the song by Owl City). I learned the significance of IRA types in applications, and the difference between qualified and non-qualified funds. This knowledge allowed me to develop effective case management training, forecast how many applications our team can complete in a day, and streamline money movement timeframes and strategies.
Let my experience during the past year be a testament to the true power of The Admin Effect. Our service offering, and ESPECIALLY our training program, was created with the framework that I followed to get to this point, and that our team has followed as well.
A special shoutout to our Leadership Team for pushing me toward this opportunity and giving me the grace and confidence to take on this new role. I love what I do, and I feel lucky to be able to do it every day. Cheers to an exciting year ahead! 🥂
We have exciting news!!
We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Brooke Peters to the permanent position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at The Admin Effect!
Brooke has been an integral part of our organization, originally serving as our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Her exceptional leadership, dedication, and deep understanding of our business operations shone brightly last quarter when she stepped up as interim COO. During this period, Brooke mastered the entire NB process, implemented critical measurables, and began developing proprietary tools to showcase our data, driving our company forward.
In her new role as COO, Brooke will continue to oversee our marketing efforts while also taking charge of our daily operations, ensuring that our processes are streamlined, efficient, and perfectly aligned with our strategic goals. Her vision and expertise have set a strong foundation for our future success.
Join us in congratulating Brooke on this well-deserved promotion! We are incredibly proud and excited for what the future holds. 🌟👏
One year ago, I left the corporate world. It was one of the toughest decisions I have ever made.
I was working for a great company.
I liked and respected all of the people I worked with.
I had a great roster of clients.
And as I was walking out the door at the end of 2023, I had already booked a significant amount of money in 2024, which would have mostly likely been my biggest year at the company. I had MANY people tell me I was crazy for leaving.
For me, it wasn't about the money. I wanted to step outside my comfort zone, challenge myself and push my limits, and contribute to the growth of 3Bridges Consulting alongside Sean Springman and Dennis Williams.
Here are some of my learnings from year 1:
💡 Collaboration is key. I've been fortunate to surround myself with talented and smart media partners who consistently bring great ideas to the table.
💡 You can win by being kind. I never understood why some people operate by instilling fear, making threats, or talking down to others. My goal is to be uplifting, thoughtful, positive, and have some fun along the way. Life is f'in hard; partnerships and business should be challenging, rewarding, fun, and exciting. Yes, mistakes will happen, and when they do, you address them, learn from them, and move on.
💡 11-minute power naps are my jam. When I hit that afternoon lull, I pop on my Insight Timer app, set it for 11-minutes, and enjoy some calming ambient music. 11 minutes later... BAM! I'm back in the game.
💡 Work life balance is everything. I've gotten back in the gym. I spend my mornings reading, meditating, or listening to a podcast...without feeling stressed or rushed. I step away from business when I need to talk care of myself and my family.
💡 Most meetings can be done by sending a Loom or sending an email with bullet points for action items and/or take-aways.
💡 Stop taking yourself so seriously. I mean, I started Dad Joke Fridays to add a touch of levity every week. I literally cringe at myself when I edit them.
💡 Surround yourself with smart people. I continue to follow and meet with thought leaders and industry experts. I do my best to be a sponge and revisit my AI notetakers and jot down key learnings.
💡 Gratitude is my attitude. I'm so incredibly grateful for my partnerships. I'm deeply committed and invested in the success of each brand I partner with.
When you enter a new chapter, you realize life is short. So have fun, do good business, do what you say you're going to do, stay disciplined, and take a chance on yourself! BELIEVE in YOU!

One year ago Kevin Zurek took the huge leap out of the corporate world to join 3Bridges Consulting as VP of Business Development. Sean Springman and I had high expectations for him and he’s exceeded all of them. We are grateful that his journey with us is just beginning.

THE DIFFERENCE IS... DAVIDOFF. JEAN-CHRISTOPHE HOLLAY INTERVIEWED.
This is TRunblocked.com's first video interview with Jean-Christophe, Oettinger Davidoff's Head - Partner Markets & Duty Free EMEA/Americas, which was recorded this year at TFWA, Cannes.
The company is enjoying continued success in the Travel Retail channel, which represents a very significant percentage of its overall sales. This interview focuses on the reasons for the brand's growth, the diverse range that Davidoff now offers, the smart targeting that caters to different consumer preferences and budgets, further geographic expansion as well as developing new opportunities for growth that lie in the inflight and cruise line sectors. There are also new product lines being showcased.
Jean-Christophe identifies a clear shift in thinking amongst airport travel retailers as to where their humidors should now be sited in store, given the reality that cigar buyers positively increase the average basket size and value.
And then there's 'The Difference' campaign - a major statement that serves to reinforce the pedigree, the quality and uniqueness of this brand.
All this and much more in an absorbing video that underpins the reasons why Oettinger Davidoff and the Davidoff brand lead the field.

While the deep brand knowledge of an in-house team is invaluable, Guy believes that an external view is also valuable - particularly when it comes to strategy. This doesn’t take away from the capabilities of the in-house team, but can be useful to get a different perspective.
Guy is in no doubt about the key to the success of Balboa and Lution’s relationship; trust, honesty and transparency. He believes it’s essential to start out with clear expectations so you’re able to hold each other to account.

Team Tuesday & Employee Spotlight!
We hope everyone had a great long weekend and enjoyed that incredible weather.
Today's McClay's spotlight is with Brandan Mutton (he's kind of a big deal on the ball diamond) who works for McClay's Transportation as an Account Manager.
Q: Brandan could you explain in a bit more detail a little bit about your role at McClay's and some of the day to day activity:
A: My main focuses are building and managing strong relationships with our amazing customers. I enjoy building strong relationships with potential customers and helping them to make good business decisions. I am also heavily involved in cross functional collaboration. I work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure the success of our business and our customers businesses.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at McClay's:
A: I really enjoy how McClay's has kept their values as they have grown to where they are today. Being a hometown kid, I have got to watch the McClay's family grow this business from the ground up. Troy and Ryan McClay have done a great job at keeping the small family run business feeling (we a agree with the culture that we have here), while building this great local business up to what it is currently. I am excited to be apart of our continued growth and success moving forward.
Q: What are some of your interests outside of work:
A: Outside of work if you need to find me, check the ball diamonds, golf course, the gym, or spending some down time with the family.
Q: Something people might not know about you:
A: I secretly love Taco Bell, a couple of Tacos and a Fries supreme just hits the spot right...
Thanks for sharing a little bit more about yourself Brandan. The team appreciates everything you do each day to ensure our valued customers have strong communication and support system.
