Carrie McIntyre’s Post

Warning, bad puns ahead. Apologies in advance – the McIntyre Family has been watching reruns of "House M.D." Chicago-area association chapter/component relations professionals: When you and your chapters share the same companies as potential sponsors, exhibitors, and advertisers, it can create friction for you, your chapter, *and* the shared corporate buyers. Friction is no bueno... symptoms include complicated situations between national/chapter orgs, corporate buyer frustration, and ultimately, less revenue. While there's no magic cream to fix that kind of friction, at my deep dive session on Tuesday, May 7th during the Association Component Exchange (CEX) event in Chicago, we'll conduct a differential diagnosis of the issues that cause this condition and develop a treatment plan to turn rivalries into revenue through national/chapter collaboration. You'll hear real-life examples, discuss ideas with your fellow CRPs, and develop actionable steps forward. Hopefully, we'll manage to avoid multiple misdiagnoses and near-death experiences along the way. I know, I know... enough already. I'll stop! 🤓 In addition to this session, the CEX full-day agenda also includes collaborative peer-to-peer solution rounds, engaging learning and networking experiences, and access to chapter tools and resources designed specifically for CRPs. I like to say that "collaboration is a new currency." I also like to see collaboration between national and chapters!
