So, I've decided to take my own advice & CELEBRATE MYSELF, because last week marked ONE incredible year at, Work With Your Handz! 🥳💖🥳 To my fellow recruiters out there, I think we can all agree these last couple of years have been TOUGH. Navigating challenges, adapting to changes, and pushing through uncertain times - it hasn't been easy. 😮💨 Like I said - sometimes it’s easy to forget to acknowledge our own achievements, but it’s so important to be your own biggest cheerleader! Every small step forward, every candidate placed, every partnership built - those are all reasons to celebrate!!! 🎉 Remember, motivation doesn’t always come from outside... I spend most of my day at work smiling. For some people, that may not seem relatable, and I get it. Work can sometimes be a drag, especially if you’re caught in the 9-5 grind of corporate America. For me, I truly love what I do, and it’s simple to see why. I work with a tremendous team that I’ve built from the ground up, and they’re people I genuinely enjoy being around (hopefully, they feel the same way about me). I spend most of my day actively working and moving my company forward, but in those gaps between the mundane daily grind, I get to spend time with my team, talking about their weeks and lives, and just having normal conversations. I also get to help these same people create careers I’ve seen so much success in, which has shaped my life as I know it today. New York Life has offered me a role that checks off every box I could imagine in a career, and being able to share that with individuals who are either new to this industry or looking for a better option than they currently have is a luxury. I can’t stress this career enough, and if it’s a leap you’ve been considering, I encourage you to take it and go all in. Celebrating 3 Years with My Current Company Last month marks three years since I joined my current company, the longest I've stayed at any organization. While it may seem like I'm a job hopper, the truth is I am a deeply loyal person, I believe the reason I have felt the need to move on has been to find growth. My husband often reminds me that I see the good in situations and tend to stick things out longer than needed. Reflecting on my time here, I understand why I've stayed and plan to continue staying.  One of the key reasons is the management structure: We are given the autonomy and confidence to manage our projects, held accountable for our work, and we are given the freedom to be our own boss! This environment pushes us to step up and take full responsibility, accelerating our growth and potential. The second reason is personal to me: I thrive on challenges. Repetitive assignments are necessary but eventually bore me if not mixed up a bit; I need continuous creativity, learning and growth. Working for a tech company keeps me constantly engaged, learning, and teaching. It's the complete package for me and I love the work. I am still learning to manage my stress levels and the work-life balance though! The third reason is the supportive culture: If you have worked in a corporate environment, you will understand people prioritize their own success over the company's. Here, my colleagues feel like family, genuinely helpful and with the right intentions. While office politics exist (as they do in any company from time to time) and not everyone will be your best friend, I know that the intentions of the people I currently work with are pure, their hearts are in the right place and they will always lend a hand to help if it’s in their capacity. This post is a shout-out to the wonderful people I work with and the unique management structure our boss has implemented, creating the most dynamic working environment I've ever encountered. Thank you all for your daily efforts, support, and motivation!

As I bid farewell to this incredible team, I can’t help but reflect on the amazing experience I’ve had. I’ve been fortunate to work with a group of multi-talented individuals who are responsible, self-managed, and committed to the same goal. There's no place for internal politics here—only supportive, encouraging peers who create a space where everyone can freely express themselves without fear of repercussions. It’s rare to find a team where every day brings something new to learn and the results are consistently outstanding. I made some friends for life-time. When a team like this shows such thoughtful gestures, like giving a formal farewell, it truly melts the heart. I’m proud of the positive feedback we've received from clients at the clients location about our wonderful collaboration, coordination, assertiveness, and ability to bring things together at all times including the difficult times. It’s a reminder that all the hard work and dedication are truly paying off. Thank you to everyone for your warm wishes for my future endeavors. I’ll cherish the fun sessions, the calm moments, the frustrating ones, and everything I’ve shared with all of you in this short span of time. You’ve truly shown me what positivity means. There can't be zero negatives but when so many boxes are checked, all the negatives disappear. I’m grateful for such a rewarding experience. This is what the perks of corporate culture should be. They've got their roles down pat – our furry friend Thor bringing companionship and our cleaning lady ensuring a sparkling house. Q: What's one thing you've learned from your coworkers that you're grateful for? A: I’ve learned that it's possible to work hard AND play hard. Being part of a team that is dedicated to achieving our goals while also taking time to celebrate successes, whether big or small, has been truly rewarding. Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A: A professional dog walker… or any type of pro athlete. Q: How many different states have you lived in? A: With the biggest cup of coffee imaginable. Q: What’s your favorite inspirational quote? A: Taking a moment in my driveway before entering the house to reflect on both the positives and negatives of the day. I believe it's important to celebrate even the smallest victories and to also allow myself time to process any negatives and find ways to learn from them. This helps me prevent the negatives from lingering into the next day. Also, any day that I can go play Pickleball after work is a huge plus in my book! Q: What job would you be terrible at? A: Anything that involves public speaking.
