This Men’s Day, don’t tell the men in your life that it’s okay to cry. And this isn’t a gender issue—it’s just that if men start crying, their male friends will have absolutely no idea what to do or say. So, for the sake of their clueless friends, let’s avoid asking men to cry. Instead, gift them a PlayStation, a katana, a solo staycation in the hills. Book them an all-expenses-paid trip to watch Jones vs. Pereira (when it happens), or the Premier League. Or better yet, just give them time with their friends. Because if there’s one thing that heals better than tears and comforting words, it’s heavy roasts and gaalis. Spread the word—so everyone knows what to do this Men’s Day and for all the ones to come. 💼 #CaseLawTuesday: Interesting Court Ruling on E-Discovery: Preserving Video Game Consoles 🔍 Hat tip to Sidley Austin LLP for their insightful monthly e-discovery case law updates. In a noteworthy decision from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the court addressed the preservation of electronically stored information (ESI) on gaming consoles. Recognizing that “modern gaming often takes place online, and gaming consoles are used frequently to facilitate social networking and communication through various online gaming platforms,” the court emphasized the importance of preserving relevant ESI on these devices. The Court held that platforms like Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Twitch, YouTube Gaming, and in-game messaging functions are now considered potential sources of evidence.
