Transitional housing isn't just about shelter; it's about providing a nurturing environment where men can develop and practice alternative coping skills while building strong sober networks. Studies show that transitional housing significantly enhances the likelihood of long-term sobriety. At Emmaus House, the added accountability and support from fellow residents create a powerful bond that fosters growth and resilience on the path to recovery. Together, we're building a community where trust and brotherhood flourish. #EmmausHouse #WeDoRecover #Recovery #TransitionalHousing

As this recent data from the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute shows, Utah’s housing shortage is expected to increase, reaching over 37,000 units by 2024. Despite a temporary dip in 2022, the shortage is on track to rise again, creating significant challenges for Utah families and communities seeking affordable housing. We are working to address this crisis by preserving the affordable homes that are still available. Our efforts are critical in preventing further displacement and ensuring that families across Utah have access to stable, affordable housing. #AffordableHousing #UtahHousingShortage #HousingPreservation #CommunityImpact #UtahHousing

✨A Successful Week in Supported Living!✨ This week, I’m excited to share a significant milestone—I've just collected the keys to three properties from a property investor! These homes will soon be offered for supported living, providing much-needed accommodation for vulnerable individuals and families. Today, I’m heading to County Durham to meet with a supported living provider. The goal? To finalise a lease and house families who are currently homeless. Ensuring that these families have a safe, stable place to call home is not just a job for me—it’s a passion. With extensive experience working with families in crisis, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact that stable housing can have on vulnerable populations. It's more than just providing a roof over someone’s head—it's about offering security, dignity, and the opportunity to rebuild lives. If you’re a provider or property investor looking to collaborate with an experienced and passionate team who values providing quality homes and quality support, let’s connect! Together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most. #SupportedLiving #HousingSolutions #HomelessnessPrevention #VulnerablePopulations #PropertyInvestment #MakingADifference

From Shelter to Home: Harmonious Families (A RTHK Video) This video provides a historical overview of public housing development in Hong Kong. It covers the early estates built in the 1960s and 1970s, the launch of the Home Ownership Scheme in 1976, and the Long Term Housing Strategy introduced in 1987. The video concludes by mentioning the housing program announced in 1997 that aimed to achieve a 70% homeownership rate within 10 years. Keypoints: ~Wu estate, completed in 1967, was the first public housing estate to introduce the concept of a town center with essential amenities. ~In response to the housing shortage, the government announced a 10-year housing program in 1971. ~The Housing Authority was established in 1973 to oversee public housing development. ~The Home Ownership Scheme launched in 1976 allowed tenants to purchase their own homes. ~Due to high demand, the 10-year housing program was extended by another 5 years in 1982. ~The Long Term Housing Strategy was introduced in 1987 to provide both public rental housing and home ownership opportunities. ~By 1997, the government aimed to achieve a 70% home ownership rate.
