A look at some early data from Placer.ai into what McDonald's $5 Meal Deal is doing to traffic. Not surprisingly, it jolted activity (the best Tuesday of the Year). Will be interesting now to see what comes next since this is a temporary deal, in theory. My guess is the brand, and others in the sector, continue to introduce new offerings or structures at this point for the near and perhaps distant future since the concept of relative value just isn't what it was a few months ago.
