🔊 Your body is speaking. Are you listening? Breathwork isn't about pushing through discomfort. It's about honoring your body's wisdom. Pay attention to how you feel. It's okay to take breaks. Be gentle with yourself. Trust your body's signals. Breathwork should feel good. If it doesn't, adjust your practice. Your body knows best - are you ready to start listening? #BodyWisdom #MindfulBreathing #SelfCompassion

TOP TIPS THE WARMUP! Preparing for a Presentation. 1. BODY - Breathe! Breathe to both calm your nerves and centre your body and voice. Using the breathing technique of breathing in for 4, holding it for 2 and breathing out for 7 about 4 times will naturally calm your nerves by lowering your heart rate, helping you to oxygenate better and give you better support for your voice. 2. VOICE – Hum Connect to the feeling and sound of your voice in your lips and nose by humming. Go up and down in pitch to warm up your voice. 3. RECITE Speak through your script out loud and imagine yourself filling the space you will be presenting in. 4. SPEED RUN Now run your script though as FAST as your mouth will take you! This will exercise the mouth and tongue muscles and ensure clear diction focus your attention. 5. SILENCE Take a moment of silence to feel where your body is, mind is at and to tap into your heart rate and any nerves. Now use these nerves to fuel the energy for your presentation. 6. RECITE AGAIN! Now speak through your script out loud again and feel how much more contained and focused it is now you have done a Speed Run. When you're in need of some breathing space from your busy mind, try this: 1) Think of the mind as a screen. 2) Take a step back from the screen of your mind. 3) Observe your thoughts and emotions from a distance. 4) Become aware of the space between you and your mind. 5) Focus on the quiet calm space between you and your mind. And breathe. (Innerspace)

My 5 Tips for a Stronger Presentation 1.Learn about and work on your body and posture first - strengthening your core musculature and how you hold and present your body will immediately elevate your confidence in yourself and your physicality 2. Learn and use breathing techniques which firstly, relax your nerves BEFORE a presentation and secondly, that more effectively support your voice DURING a presentation 3. Make sure you have mastery of the vocal nuances of your voice as well as the breathing that supports it! - pitch, timbre, volume, pacing. 4. Aside from good ‘storytelling’ and narrative arc, know your ‘script’ inside out and backwards - understand where you need to be informative, where to be faster/slower, where you are presenting facts and where you are telling ‘a story’. 5. And most importantly, include YOUR personality, humour, pathos if needed. And be yourself! After all, it is not just information people buy into - it is you as an individual and the human story. #presentationtips #presentationtechniques #bestpresentation #bodyconfidence #voiceconfidence #bodycoach

How to simply ‘be’ there for someone… Just notice… Just notice what the other person is saying. Just notice their emotional state. Validate their emotions and their experience, and their pain, or their joy and everything in between. Be okay with silence and notice the relational sense of the space between. Notice the connection. Notice their breathing. Notice your own breathing. Taking deep breathes can help. Notice that too. Check in with what they need, but sometimes just ‘being’ can be enough. Practice just ‘being’ with yourself too, and what’s around you. Just notice. #justbe #youareenough

When you feel things getting on top of you or realise you've gone into that headspace that's not helping you think straight, it's time to breathe. We all get into these moments and if we try to push through it takes longer or feels like a struggle. Stop, reset with a mini break, find a spot and try this simple breathwork - it's one of my go to's on a regular basis! (Thanks to Julia - a very wise coach who helped me with this.) Seven Eleven breathing can help you very quickly get 'back in your body' and your head back into the right place to give you access back to your creativity and decision making. Don't let stress, fear or worry take over, follow this simple breathing practice whenever you need it: 💠 Breathe in through your nose for a slow count of seven 💠 Hold for a few seconds 💠 Breathe out through your mouth to the slow count of eleven 💠 Repeat for a few minutes and let your body relax and your next steps come to mind Let me know how you find it? #focus #breathe
