Being a caregiver is one of the most selfless and rewarding roles a person can take on. Whether you're supporting a loved one, a friend, or even patients in a professional capacity, the dedication and compassion you bring to the role can make a world of difference. But caregiving often comes with an emotional and physical toll that many don't openly talk about—caregiver burnout. Caregiver burnout occurs when the demands of caregiving overwhelm your ability to cope, leaving you feeling exhausted, emotionally drained, and even resentful. It’s common to put others’ needs above your own, but prolonged neglect of your well-being can lead to: •Physical fatigue •Emotional exhaustion •Feelings of guilt or inadequacy •Social withdrawal •Health problems It's important to remember that taking care of yourself is not selfish—it's essential. You cannot pour from an empty cup.
