12 months to the day that I came for a job interview and started the very next day!
So what happened in 12 months:
Learnt a new product through hands on after a brief 2 day hand over with my predecessor.
Got up to speed with a totally new marketplace. One that has been established for many years but is in a period of transition. One that has been so reliant on not but who you knew. I was the outsider.
Understand the market forces that impacted us as a business and also our clients.
The company needed transitioning from an under-performer with an ok product into an over-achieving environment with a unique market offering.
I had to identify our ideal client and totally transform the entire product offering to match that client, from not only the basics of the platform but also the financials to match what the ideal client expected.
Where are we now:
A unique vehicle logistics management platform that has over taken the perceived established competition.
Of the top 10 #AM100 companies, 5 use the BAM platform daily to manage their group vehicle logistics. (and I'm eyeing up the others).
We have one of the biggest fleet companies using the platform to organise distribution from port to client.
On Monday our tight team welcomes it's 5th new employee.
Financially we have gone from struggling to cover a wage, heading towards a 7 figure turnover. - not bad for a company that charged £2.50 per movement.
And the best bit...... You KNOW you are knocking it out of the park, when you receive appreciative emails like this from a Group Car Buyer at one of the AM10 companies above (promised I wouldn't mention names or companies)
So we are a distruptor, where we used to be mocked.
