Wait til CDK announces What Dealerships Customer Data was Stolen. Now everybody May not have had their Protocols Set up already. If you did not have these already in place you are already in Violation of Many Laws under the FTC Safeguards Act. How many Dealerships have a Chief Compliance Officer Position Filled. How Many Dealerships have Breach Protocols in Place. Your Vendors like CDK is you the Dealerships Responsibility Regardless. Lawsuits and Chaos will continue to ensue. Verify your Customers Identity First. Safeguard your Consumers Information. Privacy Notice. Sell Cars.

Call me crazy, but my theory is that this is a terrorist act. What is the one way to truly attack the US? Not coordinating planes into buildings, not bombing a military base or send in soldiers. More countries hate the US right now than ever. The CDK attack in June, that shut down 50% of US car dealerships, was phase 1. CDK paid $25M random, so that attack was successful. I hope I’m wrong, but Microsoft now? The DoD operates in Microsoft systems. Banks, hospitals, communications, air travel. I’ve learned to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Car Dealership Guy Wait. So there were customers who were going to buy a car, but didn't buy one because of the hack? Is it that they tried to buy a car and the dealer said they couldn't? Or did they go somewhere else to buy a car? Have they given up trying to buy a car? How did they figure out that number?

Looks like a typo under discontinued models. When summarizing the cancelled models you state only two pickups are being cancelled the Ram 1500 and Nissan Titan. The Ram isn’t going anywhere, it’s the TRX that’s discontinued.
