But retail companies have been organizing and operating on data for decades---it's all right there for the AI to work with. I've been on the Advisory Board of XGen AI for a few years now, and it's been really incredible to watch their growth trajectory and their success. The potential in retail AI application is huge. It's already creating great impacts for the companies that adopt it.

Ironically the field that will suffer the most here is software development. We are decades behind other industries in adopting a mature attitude towards the use of data in improving business performance. The prospect of instutionalizing the conventional wisdom of today in AI models is pretty terrifying 😉 #ai
