I always find it hard to pinpoint one standout characteristic of a successful leader, its like trying to pick one friends cast member! Its impossible for the whole thing to work without any of them! I've spent a lot of time researching and pondering on this and have narrowed it down to 8 key characteristics, in no particular order 👇👇 1️⃣ Coaches Potential Effective Leaders develop the leadership potential in others & improve performance by encouraging & role modelling consistent feedback (giving & requesting), delegation of responsibility, empowerment & accountability. 2️⃣ Emotional Intelligence Effective Leaders have the capability to identify, manage, evaluate & understand their own emotions as well as those around them. 3️⃣ Effective Decision Maker They demonstrate the ability to be both decisive & considered in their decision making. They understand how to effectively evaluate problems & potential risks & create solutions for the root cause of issues, not just the symptoms of them. 4️⃣ Creates Vision & Influences Effective leaders create a shared vision & strategy & communicate it so powerfully that others join them on their journey. 5️⃣ Strong Communicator An Effective Leader is an active listener, observes & understands non-verbal communication (body language etc.) & can effectively communicate messages, with impact to any audience using a variety of different means. 6️⃣ Goal Orientated Leaders must not only think big but effectively execute their vision & strategy all the way through to completion, with & through others.
