Our team kicked off the Thanksgiving holiday by assembling baskets for local families in our Car Pros communities. Thank you to the team, and to Shirley Jones for spearheading this effort!
Through our "Car Pros Cares" initiative, our team had the pleasure of creating Thanksgiving food baskets at our Car Pros dealerships for deserving families in our communities. Many thanks to Car Pros Automotive Group for donating all the food, thanks to the organizations who partnered with us to identify local families in need, and thanks to our Car Pros team members for their hard work to prepare and assemble the baskets. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Owner/CEO Be Free Organizing & Move Management
Specializing in senior move management, move management, and total home organization. Working with seniors, depression, ADD, ADHD, and busy homeowners.
“Why the vans”?
Well, here’s a great example of what it’s like to be a full service move manager/pro organizer.
Stuff, stuff has to go away based on clients wishes. We choose to do the hauling, wether to donate, storage, the dump, CHARM, shipping items to families, etc.
I know the names of the people at the weigh station at the dump and some of their life stories.
I always loved going to the dump with my dad. And I still love going to the dump, I don’t know what it is, but there’s something fun about it.

🙌Barely a week in, and our Gapton Hall store has had some serious work done!
👏Big shoutout to the guys at FK Restoration for swooping in, whisking away the gear, and donating furniture, before diving headfirst into the exciting task of sprucing things up.
👀Now, can you piece together what went where? Let the guessing game begin!

Why we do what we do. We didn’t feel safe buying or selling bikes online so we founded, fund, and operate Alberta Bike Swap to provide a safe place to buy, sell, and donate bicycles. If you have a bike to sell we’ll tech check that bike and run the serial number through our proprietary software to verify bike ownership because no one wants to buy a stolen bike. We’re proud to be the only #BikeIndex Ambassadors in #Calgary.
Have a stolen bike police report? All the bikes will be entered into the swap by 1400, please come to our events at 1400 so that you can see for yourself that your bike isn't in our event. Police attend and support us and our event. The police and RCMP have seized bikes from online sales and pawnshops based on what we do, and insurance companies use our paperwork as proof.

🚐 Minibuses play a vital role in various sectors, including schools, charities, and clubs. 🚐
Recognising the uniqueness of minibuses and the necessity for a tailored valuation is essential for anyone looking to buy or sell these vehicles.
Given their diverse modifications and customisations, a one-size-fits-all approach simply doesn’t work.
We've taken the time to understand the true value of minibuses. This niche market requires specialised knowledge, especially when considering the unique buying and selling processes of charities, clubs, and similar organisations.
By appreciating the unique factors influencing a minibus’s value, sellers can confidently position their vehicles in the market, ensuring they receive the best possible price.
Here's one of the three minibuses we recently bought from Bristol City FC ⚽

Samos Volunteers is proud to announce the launch of our winter campaign, a vital step in preparing to meet the critical needs of the displaced community this season. Throughout October, the warehouse team, in collaboration with the communications team, worked to document our preparations for winter distribution.
For those unfamiliar, one of Samos Volunteers’ core missions, besides providing psychosocial support, is the distribution of Non-Food Items (NFI). Four days a week, every week of the year, we welcome approximately 50 to 70 people daily into our free shop, providing emergency clothing sets to men, women, and children arriving in Samos.
Transitioning our distribution to winter mode this past month has been both challenging and inspiring.
Working in NFIs requires a mindset that balances contrasting realities : an abundance that often feels like insufficiency. The warehouse may look full of donations and clothes ready to distribute, yet the harsh truth is that these supplies won’t last through the winter.
The recent UNHCR report shows over 4,400 people currently living in the overcrowded CCAC of Samos, a number that continues to grow.
This overcrowding exacerbates risks to physical and mental health. People have been reported sleeping on the floor without receiving blankets, bedding or protection from the cold; the camp management is not distributing either any kit of clothing and shoes, leaving a huge gap to be filled by NGOs, overwhelmed by the situation and the number of people in need of warmth.
Despite these challenges, we’ve risen to meet the crisis head-on. In the first days of our winter distribution, we’ve reached 100 people daily; a significant effort, yet still a fraction of the overwhelming demand.
At Samos Volunteers, we face this duality every day. We acknowledge the harsh reality: this is an emergency setting where needs often exceed what we can provide. Yet, we remain committed to preserving dignity and offering the freedom of choice to those we serve.
