FAISAL MASUD MD FCCM, FCCP shared how their predictive model can detect cardiac arrest up to 30 minutes in advance with 85% accuracy, rising to 91% accuracy at 6 minutes prior. This early warning system gives critical care teams the precious time needed to intervene, addressing the challenging 25% survival rate for in-hospital cardiac arrests. The key: finding the optimal 3-12 hour intervention window and carefully balancing sensitivity and specificity to avoid alarm fatigue.
